Description

Pet parents know that four-legged family members—like their two-legged counterparts—sometimes practice selective hearing when playing at the park. The PetSafe Yard & Park Remote Trainer helps keep the four-footers under control, even when they're not on leash. The transmitter can send a harmless static correction to misbehavin' pups from up to 400 yards away, and since the remote and collar are both rechargeable there are no more batteries to buy!

Key Benefits
  • Lightweight collar is for dogs 8 pounds and up
  • Waterproof remote and receiver collar both contain rechargeable batteries
  • 8 levels of static correction allow you to adjust for your dog's sensitivity
  • Tone-only mode alerts your pet with a beep
  • Range up to 400 yards
Additional Details

Avoid leaving the collar on for more than 12 hours a day. Please refer to packaged instructions for additional details.

  • Two Steps Forward, One Step Back

This remote trainer works exactly as advertised. My only complaint is with the collar portion. It is made of a fairly stiff plastic and must be buckled and unbuckled with each use--on a dog eager to get going. Too early to say how well the plastic will hold up to this frequent bending. A previous model I bought from the same manufacturer employed a nylon collar with a quick snap-release mechanism. Much better.

  • Only collar I use

    By on

I got this collar when I first adopted my dog, she was 1 at the time and she didn't have much training. So glad that I did. There are three buttons, one is a tone (I used it as a "good" tone), the second button is a different tone ("bad tone) and then then the last button is the vibration. The vibration button also can be set from 1-10. My dog caught on very quickly and now I only have to use the "bad tone" as a warning, hardly ever have to use the actual vibration button anymore. Holds a strong charge and blinks to let you know when the batteries are low. Have never ran out of battery even when I have forgotten to charge it overnight. • Puppy with freedom makes a happier dog.

    By on

Put it on my standard poodle puppie because she loves the outdoors but can’t really run on a leash. She loves having some freedom and I just have to beep her and she comes back to me. She is also very rough playing with my outside cats and a small dog but after a couple of shocks, she runs up to them but doesn’t beat them to death with her huge paws. She is six months old and very playful. I am very happy after just a few days of work with her. Makes my life easier and her happier.

  • This collar works well but bad battery life

    By on

I bought this two days ago, charged like it said but it didn't hold the charge very long. It doesn't mention in the description that the battery life is only 15-20 hours with minimal use. I use mine alot so this isn't a good choice.

  • Bad batteries

Works just as advertised. They don't advertise the very short battery life though.

  • Terrible battery life

    By on

Collar only stays charged for about 2 days, and this is with very minimal use, sometimes not even using it at all. It's a pain to keep plugging in to recharge constantly. Other petsafe collars I've purchased only need to be charged once a month or so. I do not recommend this collar.

  • Does the job!

Ended up buying this for a 2nd dog added to our family (I already have one). This works great. We walk in a dense wooded dog park and no problem with retrieving the dog.

  • All that expected and more

    By on

This remote trainer is a great training tool. Our dog would be stubborn at times or just ignore you. With this trainer it only took 1 beep and shock on her set dial for her to start listening. Now she listens much better and occasionally we need to just give her a beep sound. I would highly recommend this remote trainer.

  • Battery life

    By on

I wish the battery life was longer than 2-3 hrs. Otherwise this has been a life saver teaching my 3 month old cane corso to stay in our unfensed yard and basic commands!

  • Early ... but

    By on

While this kind of product takes getting used to by both owner & dog, so far - it is not holding a charge as indicated nor is the "message" to the dog consistent. How do I know? I've tried it on myself!
