PetSafe Zoom Rotating Laser Cat Toy

This was a hit right out of the box!

This is popular and actually got the new kitten and the senior cat engaging with each other. They will actually stay in the same room together and chase the laser lights. Only 4 stars because after the first few days it has started making unusual squeaky noises as it moves and it has me wondering how long it will last. I like the auto off feature and the run time seems just about right. Although it usually needs two cycles before they get bored and move on to other toys. All in all a winner.

This pointer runs 15 min and shuts off. I have to sit it on the floor, not on a counter like I thought I could. The red lights move very fast and blink off before my cats even notice them. Nether one of my cats nor my kitten are impressed. Looks like a waste of $ for our household.

Cats did not care for

Thought this would be great because my cats love chasing lasers but my cats did not care for it at all. They liked the lasers at first but the pattern was too slow and it made a whirring noise that made my cats more interested in the actual object than the lasers on the ground and they didn't care for it anymore.

Mine does NOT have TWO lasers

I bought this in order to try to get my two cats to play together. Well actually all three of them but mainly the two of them. They won't play together when I try. So I thought if I got a dual laser and wasn't present then they would start bonding and eventually play together while I'm playing with the other. So since the toy only has one laser it defeats the purpose. They will not play with the same toy currently especially if it's at the same time. So this was always so many with the only hearing one laser

There are better options.

I purchased this since I have 5 younger cats and one laser is not not enough. This is a nice product with good intentions but it did not work for my needs. The lasers were not pointed at a good angle so when you used it you needed to elevate it on a tiny table or you’d need a larger open space. A lot of the time it just pointed higher up on the walls so my cats couldn’t actually play with it just look at it.

Awful

This batteries operated toy was awesome for 2 weeks. Then the lasers quit working. It wasn't the batteries, I tried replacing them. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!

I've got one elderly maincoon and a kitten with too much energy, and they leave me alone while I clean/do things around the house when this is on! Normally, they're super clingy, and cleaning around them was very difficult, but not anymore 😊 they come running when this thing beeps

Too distracting for my cats

This might be a great item for other people's cats, but mine didn't really play with it. I have 2 cats. They're both obsessed with chasing the red light on the handheld laser toy I have, so I thought they'd love this, but they didn't. It was too loud and distracting, they paid more attention to the actual device than to the red lasers. The red lights moved around way too quickly. By the time the light caught my cat's attention it went away before they could even react and it moved so far and quick that they couldn't track it to chase after it. That, plus the fact that there were 2 red lights seemed to be too distracting and overwhelming for my kitties.

Used it 3 times, about five minutes into the 3rd time laser went out but head kept rotating, junk don’t buy one
