What's the difference to normal Q tips?

The Petsmile Applicator Swabs have only one tip. The tip is woven cotton as opposed to cotton spun around the stem. The woven cotton will not unwind, and become loose. The stem is much longer than a Q-Tip. The added length helps to better reach and distribute Petsmile Professional Toothpaste to the back teeth.
Do you use the swabs with a toothpaste or on their own?

How many times can you reuse a single applicator swab?

These swaps are reusable however, usage will vary. We always recommend inspecting the swab to determine if it is still in good condition for use.
can they break in the dogs mouth?

The Applicator Swaps are made of plastic and can possibly break, depending on your pup's aggression. They should not be left in your pet's mouth.

Good Idea

I like the idea of using these as teeth cleaners. You can use them for many other things too; the tip is soft and spongy and the stick is long enough to hold and maneuver

Very easy to use

Definitely a better alternative than a toothbrush for cats. However, a long q-tip would probably accomplish the same for a lot cheaper. It states they are reusable , but not sure I would do that

Did not clean as expected

One of my cats has stomatitis so clean teeth is very important to me. However this product did not do the job a toothbrush does. I bought them because reviews were good but wondering how a “ q-tip” product would clean teeth. I’ll stay with a cat or child toothbrush.

Gentle to gum and teeth

It is gentle on gums and teeth, and easy to use. I use tooth brush on most of her teeth and use this for sensitive part.

cat-friendly applicator

These are longer than you need for a cat, but I really like the feel of the applicator tip and the fact that they're reusable. I gave smudge some hairball gel he likes on the tip the first time so that he could see what it felt like and he tolerated toothpaste on it well

Just a cheap eyeshadow foam brush

I had high I hopes for these with the raving reviews. I’m disappointed as these swabs are nothing more than the cheap eyeshadow applicators that come in drug store eyeshadow. Used on my 10lb dog and my cat. It seemed like a lot of toothpaste got absorbed within the foam and was wasted. I went on Chewy.com to look to return them but don’t see that option. Here’s hoping this review will help someone not waste the $

Reaches to all teeth

Works well

My dog is much more accepting of these as opposed to a toothbrush. Probably not as effective but great for alternating with brush.

Not toothpaste treated

I was under the impression that these pets smile sticks were treated with something so I could take the plaque of Nigel's teeth but you need to buy toothpaste too which now I need to order. My mistake.
