    Great replacement for clothing and blanket chewers.

    My large 9mo GShep puppy likes rubbing thin fabric between her teeth and makes tiny holes that aren't seen until I pull a shirt or blanket out of the basket. This has become a replacement for that habit. When I see her starting to lick or smell my blanket, sheets, whatever. This has become a replacement for that habit. When I see her starting to lick or smell my blanket, sheets, whatever. I put this tiny thing in front of her and play until she has a bit of grip. She will chew and lick this instead until that need is fulfilled. I'm sure it won't last forever, no dog toy ever does. But it has saved me from my puppy's fascination of thin fabrics, trim, and silk tabs. I actively seek out toys that compare to the things she can't touch and replace with toys that fulfill that texture, chew, etc. As long as I show her "this is what you use instead" then she generally goes for it. … more

    Cute, but Puppy Wasn't Overly Impressed

    With this being a chilled chew toy, I thought the new puppy would find it a favorite. She licked it and carried it around so that was a start. She will play fetch with it (like any toy we toss) but she hasn't seemed that enticed by the cooling feature. The chill doesn't last long, so maybe that's part of reason she hasn't been obsessed with the cooling on her teething gums. Hoping she will take to it a little more as the weather warms and find it a nice cooling down option even if it hasn't taken precedent as a cold teething chew. It is very cute--well made-- colorful. She enjoys snapping at the appendages on the end so I can recommend it as just a good play option. … more
