This is the ONLY chew-toy I have found that lasts as long as advertised! We have had this for about 2 1/2 months and just now need to replace it after our Pomsky Puppy has worked on it steadily. He loves this thing! I don't know what makes it so appealing, but he will chew on it for an hour at a time. It's his favorite thing to do when he's not outside. He can't bite off pieces, so no worries about choking. He's about 25 pounds now, 10 months old, and the size Medium Dogwood tough Toy is best for him. See attached pictures of Lenny in action. Truly worth the buy!
My 4 year old boy never gets a good to. Most toys they state they are large dog approved and he gets it and it has to go to the trash within minutes because he rips or tears the toy. This one I was worried he would be bored with it but no He has been playing with it and chewing on it daily! Seems to be very good
My 13 week old Great Pyrenees, Sophie Ann LeBarque (any True Blood fans out there will hopefully get the name), LOVES sticks. I have bought so many chew toys hoping she will like one enough to chew it instead of chewing on sticks or on me and my family. I was hopeful when I saw this. Unfortunately, this doesn’t do it for her. She picks it up and immediately drops it. I got medium because she is a big puppy (30 lbs at 13 weeks old), but I might try a smaller size. It’s kind of heavy, and even though she’s big, she’s not a super heavy chewer (she chews a lot but doesn’t destroy anything). Maybe a lighter one she could more easily carry would be better. I will update if any changes.
Our Chihuahua Mix puppy loves these chew bones! I don't know what it is about these particular chew bones but she will only chew on these, we've tried Nylabones, Benebones and Bamboo bones, she won't touch them. We have several of these so she always has one close by since she's teething.
All my poodles have liked to chew on wood: sticks in the yard, wooden chair legs, you name it. This is a great product that I can provide them as an alternative to those destructive and unsafe chewing habits.
Our puppy, Henry, loves carry sticks around. When we saw this toy, we had to buy it. Henry really enjoys it. This is the petite toy, and Henry is just under ten pounds at age six months. It is perfect for him.
i didnt look close enough when buying to see this wasnt made for power chewers which all 3 of my dogs mostly are so i know this toy will get destroyed fairly quickly. but i will say my dogs do enjoy it an it is made for big/medium dog range. other than that this is a great toy specially for dogs who chew leisurely
Gave this to our dog on Christmas. He loved chewing on it at first. He loved chewing on it so much it was breaking apart and ended up in the trash by Dec. 28th. It did not even last three full days.
My 9 month old Golden Retriever had no interest in this at first, but I kept giving it to him when he would go to chew on something he shouldn't and he now loves it. It is the longest lasting chew I have bought. When he needs distraction, I smear a little peanut butter on the end he chews and he goes right back to an hour of blissful chewing. I recommend trying.
My dogs went crazy over these right from the start and have been happily chewing for at least an hour. However they wear down quicker than benebone and there are a little flakes of the bone all over their blanket after just an hour of chewing. Can’t complain about the appeal but they are a tad messy.
