My dog was surprisingly just not interested
I thought this would be the perfect Item for my dog because he loves to chew on wood. He loves sticks and tree bark. I thought this was a better alternative. I have moved it to be by him and put it in his kennel to chew at night etc. and his only interest is to to bring it back out and ignore it. Maybe it's too hard or I got a bad one but I've given up on trying to interest him in it. Sorry but according to my dog who chews on anything I just can't recommend it.
MADE IN THE U.S.A.
I've been using these dogwood sticks for 5 years. They are made in the U.S.A. tough enough for my Rottweilers, and they love them. Ladt a long time. I throw them out after a while as they reduce in size. The exlarge are even better for Rottweilers but are hard to find. Large are good though. Like any toy you give your dogs just be aware of how they are with them. But these are pretty Harty. There are small sizes for different size dogs. I have worked in a vets office for 20 years as well as a grooming shop. Have had dogs for over 50 years. People should be onto of your pets as you would be with your child.
Fake stick > real stick
My dogs kept trying to bring sticks in from outside so I got them this fake stick. They both took to it immediately, and it is much less messy than a real stick with no risk of crumbling. It seems pretty durable, but not so hard I’m worried they’ll break a tooth on it.
This chew is disapointing
According to the instructions here on the Chewy site, we suppose to replaces this chew when it reaches moderate wear...It took my 10 month old puppy (32 pounds) only 2 hours to reach and surpass that point, so I had to throw it out. Nice concept, but as it is implemented pretty ridiculous and worthless.
Awesome
If your puppy/dog are chewers these are awesome. My pups are always chewing. Give them this and they are salified. This is my second set. One for home and One for work.
My dog loves it
My dog loves this "stick" and it's a great stand in for the sticks she brings in from outside which make a big mess. Was concerned after reading reviews about the pieces making her sick, but has not been a problem!
Durable and appealing to our Corgis
This chew toy seems to hold up well to our super agressive chewers. The corgis, miniature velociraptors, quickly destroy most chew toys, even the majority of those that are labelled for "aggressive chewers".
HARLEY LOVES THIS CHEW BONE!
I think Harley has ESP (lol) for just as I was about to review this chew bone, he went to his toy box and took it out of the box!! He loves this chew bone plus his vet recommended it.
Not worth the money
My 12 pound dog, recovering from surgery, chewed a chunk off almost immediately. It definitely is not worth the money. I expect a toy to last longer, and I was glad I was watching him or he could have hurt himself.
Even Non-Chewers Like It
I have two small (20-25 lb) dogs, one of whom is a demon chewer and the other of whom is utterly indifferent to dog toys. Even the indifferent dog is delighted by this wooden bone and has spent quite a bit of time with it. The demon chewer is delighted by this toy. It is already worn on one end, it has received so much attention! I bought the medium size, which works well for them. It seems like a great product, even for dogs who are not normally attracted to chew toys. I am not sure about durability, but it certainly is providing a great deal of pleasure to both dogs.
