Cats LOVE the shape of this thing, BUT, the cardboard wears out in a couple or three weeks where they scratch, little clumps all over the floor, then the house. They also like to crawl through it. All of the scratchers lose the glued-on colored ends that comprise the triangle. On the last one, both sides fell off, and yes, I have glued them back on in the past, including this time. Sure, it's cardboard, but maybe it could be a little better constructed?

    Absolutely Favorite Toy

    By on

I have three cats and one of them absolutely loves these things. There's nothing she loves more than chasing her bigger sister around then hiding in this (her big sister is a Maine coon and twice her size so she can't fit in). Once she destroys the tops to a point where she can't jump on it, I lay it on its side and let the other cats use it as a general scratcher.

    Pass on it

Nice concept, not very well made. Got this and it had some dried glue on one of the scratch boards and it took no time at all for cats to start pulling the decorative laminate off. Too easy for cats to collapse it. Not quite worth the price.

    It's a good scratch post...

    By on

It's two pieces of thick corrugated cardboard with a piece of felt glued to the bottom. It would have been better to put cardboard at the bottom to keep it from falling over. Overpriced scratch post.

    Love this toy!

My 6 cats adore this scratchy teepee. They run through it. They climb atop of it. Scratch it. Sleep inside of it. Play hide and seek with each other out inside of it. Great find. Great buy. Terrific price. They last awhile too. I have purchased 4. I also put one outside for my feral cats inside their catio. They love it too.

    They loved it!

We have two cats, an older Persian (Monkey) and under 1 yr DSH (Kitty). Monkey doesn't like to scratch on anything other than the carpet in the bedrooms. He loves this scratchy tunnel. He won't go in it (probably because he's too big/fluffy), but he loves to stretch and scratch. Kitty loves going inside and swatting at Monkey then hiding. It's the one thing they can agree on to play nice.

    Cat Scratch

    By on

Our cat loves this scratcher. So much so that this is the second time we have bought this very same one. She wore the first one out. She really stretches and leans in to it when she scratches. I highly recommend it.

    A bust in our house

    By on Top 500 Contributor

When we first got it we put catnip all over it to get them attracted to it. Most of them seemed to enjoy it the first night or two after that. Since then it’s gone untouched unfortunately. We have seven cats and for some reason it’s a dud with them all now. Even if we put the catnip on it, they just want the catnip and won’t actually use the scratcher. It’s a neat scratcher and a good idea and something a little different for them but it really isn’t worth $20

Cats Love This Scratching Tunnel !

    By on

One cat loves to lay inside and scratch there as well as play inside it if I hold some toy or a string toy by the door. Other cat adores scratching on outside and does so several times a day. She's too big to lay inside it. At Christmas, I tried to find one of these since the old one had been used up for a year. I couldn't find one to save my life. I even tried to get one from these guys on Etsy who would custom make it according to my specification. I gave it a try. It ended up being a very dense type of cardboard, too heavy, too thick. It cost more than twice the cost of this one! Cats wouldn't scratch on it. Big disappointment. This is the one I was hunting for. So happy to find it!
