Foster puppy LOVES this toy
My 7wo shepherd-mix foster puppy goes absolutely ham on this toy. It's her favorite, far and away--above all the barkbox toys left over from my beloved heeler who passed away. The cat purrs for a couple minutes and then stops. It has held up well through several loads of laundry (it gets peed on) and she's so excited to get it back every time. Likely wouldn't hold up to older, aggressive chewers, but amazing for her stage of puppyhood.
own multiple
I had to buy another one for my baby black kitty, one for playtime and one when she needs to nap. Recommend for cats that like to cuddle, but we do take out that purring thing it is a little aggressive sounding.
Pure Junk, don't waste your money
This thing is cheaply made, the "purr" is some kind of little fan-like mechanism that runs rather fitfully and stays on for at most 60 seconds. The body is perfectly flat and the head is hard because of the little motor inside. There is nothing cuddly about it. We have a small cat rescue and currently have 9 cats, most of whom love toys. They are totally indifferent to it - the ones who like stuffed animals won't go near it.
Oddity but Cute
I have two of this purple Purr Pillow for my cat. Of all the years I’ve had cats, this is the most strange phenomena I’ve witnessed with a cat toy. Currently, I have one cat. This is the first time I’ve adopted a Tor-bie. She first ignored the Purr Pillow. She didn’t know what to do when she heard the purring. So, it dropped between the bed, and we had forgotten. We rediscovered when she was about a year old. This time, she had to drag it around the room, showing her dominance over it. She still ignored the purr. One day, I put the Purr Pillow in her napping bed. Then, she started to do the milking-steps on it. From then on, she comes in a rush whenever she hears the purr. Now, I have another on on my bed where she sleeps at night. When I turn the Purr Pillow, it’s time for the cat to tuck in for the night.
Purr Pillow Cat toy
It's pretty loud. I wrap it in a hand towel. It lasts two minutes for each purring and has replaceable batteries which are all a plus. Neither of my cats are interested. I was hoping to comfort one of them. It doesn't mean it won't work for someone else though. If it works for someone else, it's definitely worth the money. I think a decent buy.
Cat's best friend!
I adopted a 4 month old abandoned kitty. When he got tired I'd lay him next to his "purplie kitty" and keep the purring going until he fell asleep. Soon, my kitty started nibbling and kneading his purplie kitty. It was and still is (2 years later) a great way for my kitty to soothe himself. So grateful for this toy! Tip: if your kitty doesn't seem interested, move the toy to wherever kitty is sleeping and turn on the purr sound. I did this for about 6-7 days straight for my 8 year old kitty. It seemed to help her worsening anxiety.
Not a cat toy
None of my 3 cats will play with it. Even my youngest, who loves to play with toys, ignored it.
Good for Nervous Cat
My cat isn’t too sure about the purring noise but likes snuggling with this toy.
Cat is Obsessed!
I am very happy with my purchase! One cat will not give it a second glance. My other cat is in love with this toy. As soon as I press the button and it starts purring, she will run to this toy immediately.. She suckles it and makes biscuits holding it. She will carry it with her. She sleeps holding it. It is her favorite toy. It's inexpensive, I definitely recommend giving this toy a try!
Comfort toy for my kitty
I have 2 cats. One of my cats shows no interest in this toy, but my other cat comes running for this toy as soon as he hears the purring. Almost every day I find this toy in my bedroom or near the cat food bowl. He carries it around all over the house. He does suckle on the fur, which with good design of the toy, I'm able to remove the electronic part of the toy and wash the exterior regularly.
