Kittens Love it! They purr when drinking their bottle!
By RosiesBest on Oct 22, 2020
I squeeze the purr box before I start bottle feeding my newborn kittens (fosters) and lay it on my chest and when I hold the kittens their heads are against the purring sound and feel of it. I know it really soothes them and they start purring a lot sooner than usual and more frequently! There are 2 different ones this purple one and the light blue one. They prefer the Petstages-purr-pillow-snoozin-sloth they love the texture and nurse on it purring the whole time! It's really easy to move my hand against the box to start purring more so I don't have to stop feeding them.

Scares my cats
By KrypticKimbo on May 22, 2020
When this toy purrs, it scares my cats. They just smack at it and eventually run away. My dog has decided that it's a toy for her since the cats don't like it, and she ripped it apart.

Kitty comfort
By 4catmom on Mar 25, 2020
I have bought several of these either locally or through this site for my local animal shelter. They give them to the kittens that have been separated from their mothers. Is supposed to mimic their purring and ease separation anxiety. The shelter was pleased with the results and I kept one for one of my cats that is very skittish. She enjoys resting her head on it while it purrs.

My prosthetic purrer
By Delhazan on Jan 9, 2020
I love it when my cat snuggles up and purrs, so why wouldn't he love it if I purred back? That's what I use this for, so I can purr back to him. The very first time I used it, it was a little louder than I expected but Didymus wasn't at all bothered by that. My husband looked at me and asked what on earth? So I started to remove it, but Didymus grabbed with both paws and pulled it close, purring. So I giggled and told my husband it's my prosthetic purrer so I can purr back at the cat. Didymus and I love it.

My cats love this.
By LoisB on Jan 1, 2020
I put this near each cat and they had the same reaction. Our timid cat tried to decide if he should be afraid. Then I squeezed the pillow kitty's head which makes it purr, and he snuggled his head on it and went to sleep. Our other cat doesn't like toys very much. I put it next to him and he started to walk away, then I made the it purr and he stopped and sat beside it. They now each like to sleep on it, so I'll have to get another one! Great toy!

Kittens love it
By furrybutt on Jan 29, 2020
My lil kittens loved this purr buddy. They found it calming and comforting. Great for putting on during kitten nap time or sleeping. Material gets less soft if you put it in the dryer; best to wash cold and air dry.

Mixed reactions from my kitties
By Karen on Oct 16, 2019
My 1 yr old kitty, Olive, just wants to kill it when the "purring" starts and mostly ignores it otherwise. The new rescue, Finnegan, who is 10-12 weeks old loves to snuggle with it unless it starts purring, then he bites its face. I had ordered 2 and one arrived with dead batteries. I'd planned to replace the batteries but from their reactions to the purring, I won't bother with that and just let Finn snuggle with both. I think a blanket or plain toy of similar material would work just as well though the purple kitty is cute.
