    Glucose Meter

By Barb on Apr 16, 2021

Meter works great, but it does read high. I took it to my veterinary and had her use it along with their meter when they drew blood to test my cat's glucose. It read about 20 points high, so users should be aware of this. It is very easy to use.

    Good Quality and Price

    By MKG1 on Mar 5, 2021

The meter worked very well and was easy to use. The lancing devise needed to be on the highest setting to draw blood but maybe my cat just has thick skin. Overall I am happy to have this product so I can test my cat myself instead of boarding him for a half day at the vet. It saved me time and money.

    Worthless lancing device

By Lisa on Jan 19, 2021

The monitor works well, and it takes just a tiny amount of blood. But, as other reviewers have said, the lancing device is worthless! After placing the “depth adjustable cap” on the device, then pull on the plunger to get it ready for poking, nothing happens. The one time I was able to get it to work I had to mess with the depth adjustable cap forEVER to get it to work. I can’t seem to make it work again. Cats are not patient enough to have to go through that every time!

    Many errors

By Allison on May 3, 2021

Frequently get an E5 error reading the strip, which wastes a good amount of them. The lancing device does work well.

    Favorite meter

By Mandylu on Dec 17, 2020

This meter is good, the lancing device and lancets are useless. The strips require less blood than other meters me tried. Do a google search for “advocate safety lancets” the green ones ALWAYS get blood. Also use a sock full of rice and heat in the microwave for ~ 17 seconds, apply to area before drawing blood.

    Nothing to great

    By Kevin9 on Feb 10, 2021 top1000Contributor

It’s easy to use and setup but the strips are individually wrapped which is annoying. Having a hard time getting the blood in the strips.

Don’t bother with the lancing device

By KatManAda on Dec 16, 2020

The strips work quickly and don’t require much blood. The meter is easy to use and appears accurate. However we have found the lancing device to be defective in two different kits. It seems to be too long for the kit lancets. Even on the highest setting it doesn’t poke through the whole in the cap.

Lancet sucks! Strips are WAY too expensive!

By Debbie on Feb 3, 2021

The lancet device is USELESS! The strips for this meter are WAY too expensive! The only good thing is the meter doesn’t require much blood.
