Description

The PetZu Heartbeat Pillow helps soothe anxious puppies so they can fall sleep naturally. Using removable simulators, it mimics the comforting sound of a mother’s heartbeat and the feeling of her body warmth. Both simulators have an “on” switch and automatically shut off after a period of time so you don’t have to disturb your slumbering puppy. Simply microwave the heating simulator for 60 seconds and place inside the pillow for instant calm. The Heartbeat Pillow can be used to stop nuisance barking and difficulties with housebreaking, greatly reducing stress for puppies and their parents. Encased in a soft fleece pillow top for even more comfort, this pillow is machine washable for continued use and happy, healthy pets.

Love this product idea. I went for this one because it’s the best one I found for the price, size, ability to reuse the microwaveable warmer and the removable heartbeat. The first night with the pillow our 13 week old puppy loved it and kept setting off the heartbeat himself (on purpose) until he fell fast asleep. The following night we weren’t sure if he wanted to take it out to the living room as he didn’t want to be in the crate or if he didn’t want the pillow in the crate (he’s got a huge personality). The only thing is I actually don’t microwave it as long as the box and instructions say because it was so hot it was to hot to handle and to hot in the pillow to put in w him, I stop it 10 Love this product idea. • not all that

this heart beat pillow is pretty much used by my puppy as a chew toy...he completely ignores the sappy simulated heartbeat...I guess if it had an actual physical beat to go along with the sound it might work...but my 9 week old puppy completely ignores it. I would not recommend this particular brand.

Love the pillow and heating pad ,the only disappointment is the heart beat only stays on for 11 minutes which I would rather stay on continously for 8 hours

  • use it every night

From the day he came home - when we come in from the final potty stop and yard patrol, I'm in the kitchen heating up the pack, he knows it's the start of his bedtime routine..he'll head to his crate.....I fluff his blanket, choose a cuddle toy, choose a chew toy... turn on the "heartbeat" and it's time to settle in. The first few nights were challenging.... but with that period behind us, we've established a nice nighttime ritual that prepares him for sleep. I'm sure we'll use this pillow until it wears out! I doesn't replace his Mom and 7 siblings... but it is a nice option. I'm glad I purchased it.

It helped my 9-10 week puppy stay in the crate at night and cut excessive barking. Still a work in progress.

  • Great for travel with young pups

I flew out of state to pickup my new puppy and bring her back with me on the plane (she flew with me in the cabin). I knew the travel combined with being taken from her litter mates would make for a stressful experience so we decided to try out this heartbeat pillow. She loved it! While in her carrier she would nuzzle up next to it and fall asleep. We credit it to the pillow because we did not have it with us in the car and she had a hard time sitting in her carrier then. What a great way to comfort small puppies! She still likes to snuggle with it when she is put in her crate at night but we don't turn on the heartbeat sound anymore. My one complaint with it is it is rather large. it took up I flew out of state to pickup my new puppy and bring her back with me on the plane (she flew with me in the cabin). My one complaint with it is it is rather large. it took up a big portion of her airplane carrier. Also I have a 2 year old lab who does not like the heartbeat sound and tried to tear it out of the pillow whenever it is making noise. So take that as you may. Perhaps not all dogs find it comforting. … more

  • Useful in getting my puppy to sleep

    By on

I would have rated five stars, but it is a little too difficult to remove the heating element and the heart beat simulator. Nevertheless, it is useful in getting my puppy to sleep.
