Description

Developed for dogs with food allergies, Phycox HypoAllergenic (HA) chews contain no grain or mammalian protein, but uses Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein derived from soybeans. These chews have the same proprietary blend and efficacy as standard Phycox formulations. Only Phycox contains Phycocyanin, a natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant derived from blue-green algae. Phycocyanin is clinically proven to inhibit COX-2, an enzyme that causes inflammation, and is more effective — with fewer side effects — than similar ingredients in other joint supplements. Pet owners and veterinarians alike trust Phycox for quality and effectiveness.

  • Great product!

    By on

Great product at a great price. Has really helped my senior Aussie get back to his old activity level. The vet gives them as treats so my dog just thinks I'm giving him extra treats every day. The only issue I have is shipping them during the Texas summer heat. My last container's chews were "sticky" when opened and they are supposed to be stored at 68-77 degrees F.

  • So far, so great!!

We were advised by our Veterinarian to get these for our 2 Labs. They are 7 yrs old and starting to get a bit achy in their hips. We have them both on a regiment of 3 chews daily for 6 weeks. They LOVE these! We keep 3 chews per dog, in 2 separate small bowls, so that we know how much they get daily per dog, without any mix ups. We use them as treats throughout the day, which is a big hit! After the 6 weeks, we will give them each, one chew daily. As we had not really noticed a decline in their hips ourselves, it's hard to tell how well they are working. We were a bit surprised when our Vet said that she could see right away that there was a difference. Thank God for our awesome Vet! They have only been on this for 10 days, so it's a bit early to say anything about any improvement. I just wanted to answer the review request, sent to us today. … more

  • My dogs love them!

Our 11-year-old golden retriever has issues with her back legs. Our vet recommended Phycox, since surgery isn't an option at her age. We've noticed a difference in her mobility. When the dogs hear me open my vitamins in the morning, they come running for their Phycox! :-)

  • Works well

    By on

We give our 90 pound lab 2 chews daily and his limp and stiffness are gone. Limp does return if we stop, so he will need to stay on it. He won’t eat it whole. I cut it into 3 little discs and he gobbles them.

  • Great Arthritis Supplement

    By on Top 250 Contributor

I have been using Phycox to treat arthritis in my bassets for years. There was recently an availability problem with the straight Phycox, so I got the Phycox HA for the same price. The dogs don't seem to notice a difference.

  • My 12year old English bulldog loves these as her morning snack. Tasty treat

My princess Sadie dog has been on these chews for about 6 years and will still take off running like a puppy! I owe it to these chews for keeping her healthy for so long. She is older now (12 years 9 months) with some heart issues but even the doctors think she's done so well because of these supplements.

  • Will not eat!!!

    By on

After reading reviews I was so optimistic about this product! I have been trying for 4 days... my Reggie spits it right out as a treat, picks it out when I chopped it up in his food dish, I chopped it and wrapped it in peanut butter, he spit it out, he even spit it out, just the chew, when I wrapped it in meat!! A lot of money and I cannot get one chew into him!!!

  • No digestive upset for my senior dog with IBD

    By on

I have a 13.5 yr. old shep-rottie with IBD and bad hips. She eats RC Hydrolyzed Protein because of her food allergies. She is on Tramadol for pain and I noticed this past week she was becoming more lame. I researched for an ant-iimflammatory supplement that would not upset her colon. I found Phycox HA which is made from the same hydrolyzed protein soy source as her dry food. Perfect. So far, so good. I notice less limping and I believe this is working. Comfort for my old girl is the name of the game. I faxed the ingredient list to my vet and she agreed it was okay to try. I would recommend this product.
