We live in a 4 story walkup in Brooklyn. When we started looking for a puppy, we knew we needed to train her to go inside or we'd be climbing four flights of stairs every time she needed to go. I hated the look of disposable pads and didn't want to create that kind waste. The Piddle Place was the solution. We picked up our little 10 week old poodle and brought her home, I place her on the Piddle Pad and she immediately went potty. Potty training was a breeze after that, with lots of treats and praise she got the hang of it very quickly. She's now a year old and weighs 10 lbs. We empty it about every 2 weeks and it never smells up our tiny apartment. As for the size, I don't think it would work We live in a 4 story walkup in Brooklyn. This was a life safer for us and we couldn't be more pleased with our purchase. … more

    Easy cleanup

    By on

I have two of these. It’s easy to clean and my dogs paw pads stay dry. No long grass to try and clean. Absolutely love this piddle pad. Stays fresh smelling also.

    By on

This item may be a good idea but it’s just to small for my dog who weight is 34 pounds. She Just wont use it. I have to go back to her old one which is much bigger but does not have a drainage system.

    Gift For A Service Dog

    By on

I purchased this as a gift for a special lady with a service dog. Her dog has to use one of these because he has cancer and his other one got cracked. I have never met this lady personally, but I still would do anything I could for her and her dog.

    Works great!

We've been using the Piddle Place for our 5# rescue poodle since she was about 1 yr. old. Every morning and evening her daddy gives her a vitamin "treat", a joint medicine "treat", and a Wellness Petite Treat. As soon as she's downed her treats, he puts her in her Iris pen and shuts the little door to it. She immediately runs over to her Piddle Place to take care of business. If she potties, she gets another Petite Treat. (Not spoiled; just "well loved.") I empty the Piddle Place once every 2 weeks. Once I empty the urine into the toilet, I close the spigot and run water (from the shower) into the Piddle Place. I slosh it around and then empty it into the toilet. I repeat it again and then let it drain in the bathtub for a few hours with the spigot facing down. A friend gave me her Piddle Place so I immediately set up the second one using 1 cup of distilled water mixed with the bio-treatment. I have several of the green pads. I rinse each dirty one and hang it to dry. I set aside all of the dirty, dry pads until I have enough for a small load in my washing machine. I found that I needed to add a small amount of bleach to the load of green pads to disinfect them and remove the urine odor. I hang them to dry. Absolutely never put them in the dryer. When we've had to stay in a motel for a short stay, we take her currently used green pad and put it on top of a puddle pad (instead of carrying the Piddle Place with us). It helps her to feel right at home. BTW, I've added an inexpensive screw-on water hose cap to the spigot to prevent leakage just in case the spigot gets accidentally moved to the open position. … more

great concept but dogs won’t use it

    By on Top 250 Contributor

My pups have always had turf as their potty place. I seen this and thought it was a great concept and would be great for travel. It ended up being a waste of money for me. They won’t use it at all:(

A pee station that doesn't spill

    By on

Well made, more difficult to chew on than many others. Won't spill when you pick it up. 'Grass' top not as enticing as the more turf like tops of other products but more durable.

Did not work for my dog

    By on

I have a 7 year old male miniature schnauzer that was more interested in the scent. There's nothing to secure the pad, so he would simply lift the pad and sniff where liquid was poured. Pad sheds a bit. Nice concept and smells great, just didn't work for my dog.
