PigLET toy, not a PIG toy

By Sarah on Jan 8, 2021

This probably would have been a great toy for our foster pig when he was still under 10 pounds. Even though the dimensions and weight are in the sidebar on Chewy, I assumed based on the product description (which repeatedly says 'pig' and never specifies 'piglet') that this would be appropriate for all life stages (looking at the sidebar again, it explicitly says "Life stages: Adult"). The potbellied pig we are currently fostering is about 5 months old now, and this toy is way too small and light for him to interact with it the way it was designed. He had it upside down in less than 3 seconds, and popped off one of the flaps in less than a minute. He had it upside down in less than 3 seconds, and popped off one of the flaps in less than a minute. I had also assumed from the description that it was specifically designed as a pig toy, but there is the name of a major dog toy brand stamped in the side of the plastic so apparently it's a rebranding of a small dog/cat toy? Most of the 'pig' toys we have in the house are dog toys and repurposed household items, so I obviously don't have a problem with that, but it does feel a bit deceptive. And it's a bit of a bummer, because I was excited at the idea that he would have a toy designed to be engaging to him instead of something designed for someone else that just happens to be interesting to a pig. As a side note, I do actually like that brand and have several of their dog toys (including a few that I purchased specifically for the pig), so it's not a quality issue, just a marketing issue. … more

    Great interactive toy

By Joel on Jan 7, 2021

This was a good pick for my pig. He picked up on what was going on fast but it still keeps his attention. The only complaint about this is the weight is so light that he picks it up too easy. Maybe I will anchor some weight to it but otherwise a great toy
