    LOVE LOVE LOVE!!

By Sierra on Jul 12, 2020

I tried these for free due to my significant other knowing the owners of the company. Our dog has some allergies to certain grains and proteins, and these have never upset her skin at all! She isn't the biggest fan of the blueberry chicken flavor, but she loves the apple bacon! Her being a mix of I tried these for free due to my significant other knowing the owners of the company. Our dog has some allergies to certain grains and proteins, and these have never upset her skin at all! She isn't the biggest fan of the blueberry chicken flavor, but she loves the apple bacon! Her being a mix of lab and american bulldog, she's very smart and catches on to everything, so of course- she started to spit the pill out and eat the treat. I didn't pay close enough attention to the instructions (I mean, it's just a pill pocket, I would think that it's self explanatory, right?) and would put the pill in the first one. This made my smart girl realize what was going on and prompted me to change my tactic. I started to give her the first one with no pill, sometimes a second with no pill, and then she would fall for the trick and not expect the pill. My kiddo does not take daily medication, and I would not recommend these for daily meds just because I give her 2 or 3 pockets every time she needs medication, but I highly recommend these for those kiddos that take occasional meds. Definitely try different tactics with your dog if they're eating the pocket around the pill. I also want to add that these smell absolutely AMAZING! The first time I opened the bag I was tempted to try one myself LOL … more

    Disappointed

great idea but not a good pill pocket

    By on

The idea is great and design. It’s more like a plastic texture and I’ve never had a foster dog like these. Greenies pill pockets all the way!

Prefer Pill Pockets or stuffing pills in cheese!

My doxie did not even try to eat one of these! I gave him one and he immediately turned the other way. Would not buy these again!

Like feeding plastic to our dog

    By on

I have been unable to get any chicken free pill pockets and saw these. When I opened the package it was like pulling a piece of plastic out. They are not soft or easy to feed to a dog. Our dog refused to even lick them. Save your money.

    Didn't work

I was hoping that my bacon-loving dog would gobble these down with his pill hidden inside but he wasn't enticed by it.

Flavor good but didn’t work for us

    By on

My dog likes these as treats but wouldn’t eat them with a pill inside. Maybe because they have very thin sides.

    Great for pills

These work just as well as Greenies. My picky doggies liked them and took pills without a problem.

    Limited Uses

    By on

I ordered a package to see if it could replace the discontinued Greenie "Duck" Pill Pockets. Since it is rigid in shape, It works well for small tablets, but not for larger tablets. Will not mold to shape

    Strange but effective product

    By on

This product wasn't what we needed to hide capsules and tablets BUT it would be very useful for liquid meds. Our pups seemed to like the taste well enough but the texture is quite rigid so they weren't sure about them at first. For someone who needs to give liquid meds though this would be ideal.

NEEDED: Pill Pockets w/o chicken in the ingredients

    By on

Was so glad to find this item, since Greenies has discontinued their Duck and pea formula pill pockets. My first bag of Pillstashios seemed a bit dry and stiff, but adding 2 drops of water to the inside and microwaving it for 6 seconds softened it up a bit. My 11 year old collie is very allergic to chicken and now takes a few medications that pill pockets are helpful with. I hope this item returns soon to Chewy's stock.
