I wrote a review about medicine that my dog Roo needs to take for his enlarged heart previously. This falls in the same category. Chewy compounded it in a beef flavored liquid form and is finally taking it without a problem.
Medication ok Y'all could a better dispencer. On three different orders, enen though I rinse them they stop working and I left to get another dispencer.
We were crushing and adding liquid the trying to get little Chica to take her new medication. She hated the taste. Then we found that Chewy.com pharmacy offered flavored compounded liquid prescriptions. What a blessing. Now we don't have a battle 3 times a day.
I am so happy to have found this medicine for my pet available through Chewy. It is a better value than other online pharmacies and always fast shipping
My 11 year old beagle was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and was prescribed this med in a chewable form. My stubborn beagle would not take it no matter what we tried to hide it in, and it was too big to put down his throat. I called my vet and he recommended trying the liquid form. It has made giving this med so much easier. I draw the medicine into a syringe. The amount is less than one milliliter.
Getting pills in my dog was difficult, she is very crafty at separating the treat from the pill. This Vetmedin liquid is flavored and is well tolerated by my Cavachon. Its real oily, but I don’t have to chase her down to give it to her. I give her a treat afterwards, and I have all my fingers and I’m not frustrated.
My little 5.10 lbs chihuahua wasn’t cooperating when it came to taking the pill version. I was able to trick her for a week before she figured it out. I searched for a liquid form and it’s made our life easier. Granite it is more expensive unfortunately but it’s been a blessing. You definitely get your monies worth if your pet will take the pill form but so glad there was another alternative.
The syringe that came with the medication for purposes of oral Administration did not function well at all. The plunger stuck and it was impossible to squirt the medication into my dogs mouth without it going everywhere. Also the measuring lines on the side of the syringe came off with the first rinsing of it. I had to make my own markings with a magic marker which didn’t last either. Finally, how am I supposed to draw up the final 1/3 of the medication from the bottle! The syringe you supplied does not reach down low enough t draw up the medication.
My vet did not offer me a liquid form of my senior dog's heart medication. Liquid medication is the only thing I can get her take at this point in her life. This was also cheaper than the tablets i received from my vet.
Cat would not take it no matter what I mixed it with. Bottom line it did not work for my cat
