I have been changing foods because my previous dog food is no longer manufactured. I wanted a dog food that is truly made in the US. This dog food is. Chewy has been amazing for customer service during this endeavor.

  • Does your dog have allergies to food???

    By on

What I like about this company is their formula is free of the following allergens: Peas, Pork, Barley & Soy and it's grain free. It also has Inulin a water-soluble fiber that helps with digestion and healthy bacteria fermentations all supporting a health digestive system which is 90% of your dogs immune system. It's a great add-in for those who also cook for their dogs and use brands like Sojos & Honest Kitchen and the like.

  • Excellent food.

We have two Aussies who have sensitivities to some foods and all the Pioneer products appear to work exceedingly well. They are 11 years old now and nary a grey hair on their muzzles & both have nice shiny coats.

  • 2 paws up

    By on

So happy to find a dog food that meets my pups needs. Most grain free products have peas, which my pup can not have. I always get nervous giving my pup something new , but she loved it. She gave a 2 paws up

  • Not sure what to think time will tell

My german shep has major food issues/ allergies and i am waiting to see how this food does. He is 80 pounds and so far i am adding 1/3 cup to his home made food. His stools are lIttle softer and he is still itching with or without this food added to his home made. I will continue to feed this version unless something changes or the bag empties. This bag is the small unit. The next will be the bison mix - again the small bag- so only time will tell. So for now i rate it a yes, time will tell.

  • No Potatoes! No Peas! YEAH!

We have a Rat terrior mix and a Heeler mix, both about 10 years old. Was feeding Blue Wilderness Chicken for a long time but they never really liked the small bits. Went to Pulsars Chicken and after the first big bag realized they were pooping twice the amount. Bought small bags of Pioneer Naturals and Hi-Tek Naturals. The Hi Tek had 3 protein sources and proved to be to rich for them. They are doing well on Pioneer and the poop is back to Normal amounts, thank goodness! The Heeler tends to eat everything and anything, but the Terrior is picky picky picky. Even she will eat this. I plan to rotate between the different protein sources. So nice to find a food without potatoes as the Heeler We have a Rat terrior mix and a Heeler mix, both about 10 years old. My only complaint is it's pretty dusty. Dogs don't seem to mind though. … more

  • It's a good product but the kibble is small

    By on

The kibble is the size of a bb or pellet. I have a large lab. If it states for all sizes it needs to be a average size kibble. My lab did not like the small breed type kibble

  • My dogs love this food

    By on

I have 6 dogs and this is the first food I have found that all of them will eat. We tried the venison first and it was a huge hit. This month I ordered the chicken flavor only because it was a bit kinder to my budget. They love the chicken too. I don't feed canned food as a topper anymore so finding a dry kibble they would eat was a challenge. The only addition they get is a little coconut oil drizzled on when I have it on hand. But even without that they still eat. I highly recommend Pioneer Naturals. I've been ordering from Chewy for about 4 years and I love the fast delivery.
