  • No Tummy Upset and Great Poops!!!

    By on

I run a home foster based animal rescue. We take pups from newborns to seniors to hospice pups and I have to say this is an excellent food. We were using Fromm but now that they won't allow Chewy to carry their brand the price to get it is ridiculous and we couldn't afford it. So I looked at a lot of foods and the ingredient list for a this food was exceptional! So we took a shot and are really happy with the choice. Not one dog had any adverse reactions to it and they all loved the flavor. The fish was the first one we tried and then onto the pork. We'll also be trying the Bison formula soon but so far the pork seems to be the one that makes everyone happy. The food is also processed well I run a home foster based animal rescue. • Great Food For My 3 Shar-peis

    By on

I recently purchased this food for the first time. the packaging was sufficient to keep the food safe, and fresh. no rancid oil smell. the kibble is small spheres about the same size as cereal. The kibble is hard, and crunchy, and due to the shape, may be somewhat difficult for some dogs to chew. I have to soak it in hot water for a slightly extended period of time (15 sec rather than 10) to soften it up a bit for my senior shar pei. The price is great for the volume, and apparent quality of food. My peis enjoy eating it, don't have upset stomachs, never turn away from it, and seem to do a bit better health-wise than they were on their last food. Overall, I recommend this food for someone looking I recently purchased this food for the first time. the packaging was sufficient to keep the food safe, and fresh. no rancid oil smell. the kibble is small spheres about the same size as cereal. • Casey says No!

    By on

This looks like it should be a great food but my Vizsla says no way, Mom. He does not want to eat it. I hadn't tried any food with pork so that must be it. Sorry Pioneer Naturals. It's probably not the food, but the 8 year old picky eater.

  • No potato no peas!

    By on

I've been searching and searching for something with no potatoes and no peas. So so happy to find something she likes and Doesn't have ingredients she is sensitive too. I've never had to monitor poop like I have to with her because she is sensitive to some many things. And she does great with this!

  • First Pioneer product he rejected

    By on

Our Standard Poodle isn't picky. He likes all the other Pioneer products but Chewy was sold out of everything except the pork. He won't go near it. Smells a little off as well. A waste of good money and I've got to throw out a 30 lb bag. What a waste.

I prefer the whitefish, but it's no longer carried. They poop more with this protein, but it's great food and they love it.
