My oldest cat was trying to get to them while they were in the big box- I wasn't thinking about what was in the box and it didn't get opened for a few hours. They didn't notice the treats or the cans (the treat thing was a bit shocking we were down to the ones that weren't liked as much) the only thing they had eyes for were these. As I finally free one baby girl actually is willing to stand her ground this stick was HERS she walks away almost every time not today. The second one is deployed and missy and baby girl have their own instantly I have an idea my neighbors cat needs the third. The package got set down for just a moment Gus decided that he was Not going to wait for dad to open it and snagged the whole shebang seriously something about the cat nip
At first, my cats loved them. They're catnip, what did you expect? However, I noticed that they quit playing with them rather quickly. This seemed odd since I have catnip toys that I bought them when they were kittens 14 years ago that they still love, so I took a closer look. Upon closer inspection I could feel something poking out from the mesh of the braided sheath that rather sharply poked my fingers. I can only imagine that when my girls bit on them, they got bitten back, so to speak. My best guess is that there were sharp stems inside that didn't get ground down enough. This is probably so that it doesn't slip through the mesh of the braid, but in my opinion, they should do a better job of grinding the catnip a bit more because my cats won't play with these anymore.
Only one of our three cats was interested in them. He tossed it around and took one out on the screened porch with him. But his interest in them only lasted a few days. Might be worth a try though as many others left reviews indicating their cat loved them. They are well made and attractive. The cat who loved them initially carried them around with him.
A hit right out of the package in my house! My 13 month old carries it around the house in his mouth as if he has caught prey for dinner. My 10 year old is happy to push it around the floors for her exercise. They both love them!
My cats usually aren’t into traditional cat toys. They prefer hair ties, straws, and tissue paper. But they love these catnip bubbler toys. When I say love, I mean they go so bonkers for them even my slightly chunky cat with zero athletic ability is doing flips in the air!
My cat found these IN THE PACKAGE not even 2 minutes after I got them out of the Chewy box. He started attacking the package on the table. I barely escaped with my limbs intact trying to get the nibblers out of the package. My notoriously aloof calico also commandeered her own nibbler and refused to give it up. These are seriously the berries-- will be placing them on the "Buy Again" list FOR SURE.
A bleh response from kitty, I think the item is too small for her interest. She loves her banana catnip toy, her balls, her green worm etc. This thing seems to have a single second of interest. Maybe because she can't bunny kick it? its too small...
My cat is getting to the age where her she doesn't play with toys as much as she used to. But when I gave her on of these sticks she went crazy. She loved it. Now over a week later she still is playing with it. She chews on and licks it. She also naps on it. I'm very happy with this toy. Finally, a toy my cat likes.
My one cat doesn't typically react much to catnip. She actually likes to eat it as an appetizer. She might rub her cheeks in it once or twice but nothing more. I opened this package and gave one to her and she went into bliss rolling around with it and then playing! I have got to find out what kind of catnip they use to fill these toys!
When I first cats they liked them, by day 2 only 1 cat was only somewhat interested. It is nice that they are durable so the cats can scratch them, throw them around, and bat them around.
