Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.
Put a treat inside for added enjoyment! Rinses clean.
I always hesitate to spend more than a few dollars on dog toys since they seem to either be ignored or destroyed very quickly. This one though, is so worth it! I was coming to order a couple more and see they are out of stock. Darn! Hank is a 100-lb pit/lab who is the terror of tennis balls. He loves them but squishes and breaks them and/or delicately picks off the felt cover, then eats holes in them. He has other chew toys (ropes and old socks) which are fine, but this one bounces high and rolls and squishes like a tennis ball, but stays usable. We've had it for a few months now and it is still in great shape. Another bonus, I can clean it off after playtime in our currently very muddy backyard and we can use it in the house (carefully) for those really bad-weather afternoons. Hope Chewy gets them back in stock soon!
Our 2.5 year old pittie LOVED this toy and we loved watching her enjoy it. She played with it immediately. Unfortunately, like most toys, by the end of the day we had to toss it because she had torn off chunks of this ball. While it was recommended for aggressive chewers, we did find it to meet her needs. Ours was orange, but silver is pictured so perhaps that is a tougher material.
Toughest chew toy out there for my aggressive chewer (65 lb male pitbull mix). First discovered Planet Dog through Whole Foods pet section, then came to Chewy for more colors/sizes. The medium is perfect for everyday use at the park/on walks/ at home. We have the large one as well for playtime, and the different sports balls (basketball, football, tennis ball). Only one that didn't hold up long term was the football.
This ball seems indestructible and i have a large pittie thats an aggressive chewer. Its a very durable bouncy ball and he just loves it
My German Shepherd puppy loves these balls WITHOUT the “planet Earth” rubber adhering to other Orbee balls. Teaching him to bring and drop was a cinch with two balls. My 12 year old shepherd has loved these Chewable balls for over a decade.
Dixie is a SUPER aggressive chewer and usually kills most balls in less than 10 minutes. So far almost two weeks and not even a tooth mark. It's her favorite ball and sleeps with it between her legs.
The ball is great for fetch and soft enough not to break teeth! Just bought 5 more
This is the first ball that’s lasted more than a day in our house since our rescue German Shepherd dog arrived. The rubbery texture allows him to chomp a little bit without breaking it, and it bounces in a fun and sometimes unpredictable way. It would not withstand unsupervised chewing, so we always put it away when fetch time is over and direct our dog to his chew bone instead. But it’s made play time a little nicer for everyone so far!
My 9 month old pup destroyed it in less than 5 min
My dog loves this ball. He loves to play fetch with it, toss it around to watch it bounce, and just chew on it. I don’t think I’ve even used it as a treat dispenser yet! Ha ha! It’s surprisingly bouncy too! The material is very durable. 2 out of 2 Dobermans agree.
