My dog will chew, but only if she thinks there is a payoff. Food. Therefore, finding items she can chew on that will keep her occupied without needing to add real caloric food to it has been nearly impossible. This ball is now on that nearly impossible list. It is supposed to taste and smell like peanut butter. It doesn't smell like peanut butter, and my dog won't touch it. Delightful choice.
My dog lives playology toys. She doesn't try to rip them up like other toys that she has other toys that only last a couple weeks. They are a little more expensive but well worth it for me.
I was hoping this would be an enticing dental chew for my 3 y/o lab, but he is not interested. Like others have mentioned, the bristles are so shallow that I don't see how they would be effective at cleaning anyway. I do like the weight of the ball.
This is good quality, Playology has consistently been a great brand, but it's not quite what I hoped for. The bristles are not very long at all, and the areas with them are not very deep. So I'm not sure how helpful it will be for supplemental dental care. Unfortunately, my dogs aren't fans of their new toothpaste, so they weren't very interested in this. Once I get a more enticing toothpaste I'm hopeful they'll make use of it!
This ball didn't last even 5 minutes before being chewed apart by my shepherd mix. Not to mention it had a horrid smell when I opened the box. Definitely not a natural peanut butter smell.
My boy loves this toy. He usually destroys his toys in minutes. This has lasted several months with little damage only to the teeth cleaning nubs. Although most of the nubs are gone he still comes back to it over other toys ive gotten him. Highly recomended for strong chewers.
Just a heavy ball, puppy is not interested. May be better for other dogs, not mine.
Didn’t last more than a day, but she was happy with it.
My Yorkie mix loves it plays with it alot runs around with it . Other dogs try ty o get it away from him
