    Instant Neon Mess!

    By on

While this seems to be a big hit for people who have tiny birds like parakeets who have no business with a perch this big, if you have a cockatoo, mini macaw, conures, or any other medium to large breeds of birds, especially hookbills, who are destructive in any way whatsoever, they will have a great time for all of about 5 minutes tearing this thing down to the wire rod in the center and leaving themselves, their cages, and everything anywhere nearby covered in a chalky mess. They can't be stored for long, either, without putting them in an airtight container, or they end up full of those weird moth larvae that eat grains and things that aren't properly sealed. I'm sure the birds love the bugs While this seems to be a big hit for people who have tiny birds like parakeets who have no business with a perch this big, if you have a cockatoo, mini macaw, conures, or any other medium to large breeds of birds, especially hookbills, who are destructive in any way whatsoever, they will have a great time for all of about 5 minutes tearing this thing down to the wire rod in the center and leaving themselves, their cages, and everything anywhere nearby covered in a chalky mess. Awesome for Bigger Cages

    By on

We have a Sun Conure in a huge cage and this works a lot better than the small cuttlebone's you get at the store.

    Cockatiel approved

Our Sunny loves that he not only can chew these but he gets an extra perch too. They don’t fall off the cage like regular cuttlebone. I highly recommend.

    Good product but..

    By on

This product was great it came in perfect condition and my bird loved it until he figured out to unscrew the wing nut. Even if we put it back up he still figures out how to unscrew it again.

    I don't know...

    By on

I don't know about this...My zebra finches visited and pecked the perch because it was new, but now they only seem to use it as a perch and still prefer their cuttle bone. The perch also had a huge chunk crack off of it right away when I mounted it on the cage. Be careful not to overtighten the screw. But that's what you get when you have crushed calcium pasted together, very fragile.

    Not a perch for macaws

    By on

Tried two, both arrived cracked and you cannot tighten to cage as it cracks more and crumbles into pieces. Definitely not a perch for a macaw.
