It’s made with all natural beach sand that’s easy on your bird’s footpads while at the same time gently trimming his nails as he walks on it. Because it also has dimples, it’s comfy for your pal to walk on, and the uneven surface helps strengthen your pal’s foot and leg muscles. It’s durably built and ultra-lightweight, and maintains a comfy temperature to keep your friend comfy. Plus, as your bird pecks at it, it helps to trim his beak too! It’s made in the USA with no wood or artificial additives, and comes in different sizes and colors.

I haven't put this perch in his cage yet since I bought 2 perches with this order. However, I'm sure it will work fine when he's ready for it.
This perch is just what I was looking for. My parrot loves it!
Very important. I've use sand covers for my parakeets and had great success. Id cut two 3 inch Pieces and put them in front of food and water bowls. Add and remove them as need by watching budgies nails get long or short. So i Thought I would try poly sand perch for my Macaw. I put one oversized perch in front of his food bowl and one oversized perch in front of his water bowl .its very important you have several different kinds of purchase in your cage to use these. I trim my macaws nails and he hates it. They become rough cut and sharp. Using the poly sand perch then files his nails smooth for me. Awsome. I then noticed when he's done eating he uses the perch to clean off his beak. His beak is now very smooth and not chipping. Its very important you check your birds feet for any cuts or scraps so if need be you can remove the perches for alittle but i found having soft perches were he mainly sits i havnt had to remove them.
Love these less expensive and Joey loves them! He loves the flavors and they keep his beak and nails down
3 month old parrotlet loves his perch he was a bit shy at first but took three days to love it and rub his beak all over it!
Gizmo moves all over his perch and he loves the colors
To me, the Perch is awesome, but I'm not a bird. My African Grey is terrified and won't get on it. I'll wait and see what happens. He's feeding off the cage upside-down and avoiding the Perch at all cost. I would definitely buy it again if he uses it, if not I'll get the medium or small depending on the length.
this perch is great at keeping birds nails trimmed. I have several in my aviaries and cages. will buy more
I got the large for my cage, and it was WAY long for my cage. It was a lot bigger than I expected. It had a nice texture and would have been ok had it not been so big. I am using it right now, but it is taking up an enormous amount of room. Make sure you check size.
Love the perch but too large. I gifted it to my daughter n law for her McCaw.
