It said Budgie for type however the description says 2” wide. I’m looking for a perch for an African grey.

The 12, 14 and 16 inch perches have a small-sized diameter and are meant for smaller birds such as parakeets, finches, lovebirds. The 18, 20 and 24 inch sizes have a medium-sized diameter meant for medium birds such as greys, conures, amazons, small cockatoos. The 28, 30 and 36 inch perches have a large-sized diameter meant for larger birds such as macaws and large cockatoos.
How is the length measured? Is it from the end of the wood to the other end of the wood or from the end of the metal post to the end of the opposite post?

This perch is measured from one end of the metal post to the other end of the metal post.
Need to know what type of wood. Could this be Dragonwood. I know it says hardwood from Florida but I need specifics. Looking for Dragonwood.

The species name is rusty lyonia, commonly known as dragon wood.
Would the diameter on the 30 inch perch be too big for a conure?

The small hardwood perch is recommended for a conure. The diameter of this perch is going to measure close to 1 inch.

They Run Long, Order Next Size Down

Definitely longer than stated. I measured my cage and ordered 2 perches of the exact same size as my cage, but both perches were too long (1 by more than 3/4 inch and the other by over 1 inch). They are also not straight due to the natural bend in the branch (quite pronounced in one of the perches!) and do not line up properly across the cage or fit properly in the bars. I will order again (next smaller size down and angle the perch to fit, if needed), only because my birdie loves them.

bird loves it

nice woodened perch for my amazon. he likes to shred it but is holding up well. It keeps him busy. I bought the thirty-inch But had I had to cut it down a i/2 inch ON ONE SIDE to make up for the metal clips on the side that attach to cage. should last a long time

Didn’t work

The bend in this perch is too much that is was unable to attach to a square cage. The ends would have to be straight to attach properly. Returned product
