I have a large for my Alexandrine Parakeet. She's had it for months. She loves oranges and this is her favorite perch to wipe her beak off after eating oranges, as you can tell from the picture. I think this may have also trimmed her nails. Polly's is always a win.
Birds are skeptical of changes in their cages and this is no different. On the bright side it has been about a week and our Gary has come to like it and his claws are much less needle like... So far so good ! ! !
I had this perch in the cage for 2 days and my bird chewed thru the whole perch
#1 Bird was petrified of the "Red" color. #2 Had to revise the plastic mounting piece, bird was more petrified when he finally got on it and it fell down.
Best thing ever! I had my parrot over 30 years before I found these gems! They take all the dead skin off feet and keep nails dull
My cockatoo is terrified of this perch! Wish I knew what to do. I might put it in the cage for a short amount of time to see if he gets over it. Otherwise it looks like it would work well. Not sure if he will chew it. I hope not
Looks good but not happy that it’s made with plastic and as soon as I put it in the cage that’s the first thing she started chewing on. Wish it had metal like the other one
This is the perfect perch for our small Senegal parrot.. he absolutely loves it..
This item is intended for a cage with horizontal wires. My cage has vertical wires. You can attach it but it does not face in the proper direction. It is also a bit narrow. The bird is using it so it is ok but I would not buy this item again. It would also be better to have a choice of colors.
Attaches easily to cage, Fancy is using it for a perch.
