Keep your pal’s nails trim safely and easily with the Polly's Pet Products Sand Walk Orthopedic Bird Perch. It’s designed with random twists, turns and curves that force your bird to change his grip every time he moves. This works to gently file your pal’s nails without any effort on your part, and, because it makes his feet and leg muscles work a little harder, it helps keep them strong and healthy. In fact, it’s recommended by veterinarians for birds of all ages. Plus, it’s easy to install on the side of your cage and comes in different sparkling colors to suit your style.
Key Benefits- Textured surface naturally trims nails as your pal walks on it to keep them healthy with no effort.
- Twisted design makes your bird’s feet and legs work harder to strengthen the muscles and keep your pal active.
- Recommended by veterinarians to keep nails and beaks trim and to support healthy muscles.
- Non-slip perch material helps maintain a comfortable temperature for your pal so he’s always cozy.

not suitable for larger birds
By seahorse on Dec 20, 2020
The mount portion of this is plastic so it is breakable. the perch itself is hollow plastic with some sand material applied. My bird had 90% of this peeled off in the first 20 minutes. also bought a lava perch for the same money that will last years so this was entirely a waste of my money.

Looked good online and even better in person
By Beth on Oct 4, 2020
These perches are very well made! I ordered two smalls which are a perfect size for parakeets. I received one blue and one pink randomly. Both colors were nice. Very easy to attach to cage. Great for birds to sharpen beak and file nails down. Absolutely recommend! CHEWY has awesome products and the best prices!

Nice perch for my Amazon. Have a large cage and these 2 go all the way across with one on each size.

My what long nails
By Twinkletoes on Oct 16, 2020
My canary is still getting used to it but I think it's working out well. His nails were so long and I got them cut by vet tech but I'm hoping this will help file them too.

Love it. It’s beautiful!

Great perch. My B&G macaw loves it. It’s steady and it files her nails while she has a drink of water.

Don’t waste your money !
By Tina on Jun 15, 2020
Purchased large size for a macaw and they described it as light weight (hollow I found out) and indestructible (Joke)for birds. Within one day macaw had a hole in the end and peeling off the sand paper texture.

Good perch.
By Alix on Apr 24, 2020
My cockatoo was suspicious of the perch at first but then he got used to it and now prefers it to others in his cage. The only problem is the plastic attachment, as he can unscrew it easily when out of his cage! I should also mention the plus side--the perch is washable so doesn't need to be replaced too often.

It's not small

Definitely too big for a finch but it's a great product. Very well made

Probably great for smaller birds
By Traci on Jan 22, 2020
Our B&G macaw really needed something in between nail trims. It has sand paper texture so we were hoping it would at least dull his nails slightly but noticed it was very light in weight- regardless, we put it in his cage- 3 days in and he had already chewed through the first inch of the perch- it is a hollow perch so it wasn't hard at all for him to do. I think this would be great for a smaller parrot or less destructive one. But from now on we'll stick to non-hollow perches exclusively. Disappointing because at the price point, we were hoping for something better.
