    Nice but....

While the item looks as pictured and seems fine, my cockatiel won't go near it. I have tried moving it around the cage but still no luck so unfortunately I cannot recommend this product.

    Instant Mess With Large Birds

    By on

While this seems to be a big hit for people who have tiny birds like parakeets who have no business with a perch this big, if you have a cockatoo, mini macaw, conures, or any other medium to large breeds of birds, especially hookbills, who are destructive in any way whatsoever, they will have a great time for all of about 5 minutes tearing this thing down to the wire rod in the center and leaving themselves, their cages, and everything anywhere nearby covered in a chalky mess. They can't be stored for long, either, without putting them in an airtight container, or they end up full of those weird moth larvae that eat grains and things that aren't properly sealed. I'm sure the birds love the bugs While this seems to be a big hit for people who have tiny birds like parakeets who have no business with a perch this big, if you have a cockatoo, mini macaw, conures, or any other medium to large breeds of birds, especially hookbills, who are destructive in any way whatsoever, they will have a great time for all of about 5 minutes tearing this thing down to the wire rod in the center and leaving themselves, their cages, and everything anywhere nearby covered in a chalky mess. Huge Hit for Conure!

    By on

My Greenie LOVES this perch! We go through one a month, and he eats it, grooms his beak on it, and has a great time foraging for treats I hide in the holes!!! Medium is a perfect size for his feet too!

    Be Prepaired

    By on

The parakeets just loved this thing. They made such a mess of it. I kept moving it around in the cage to take them longer to dissect it. They will even hang up side down to pick on it. They do leave some powder behind. They chip and scrape at it with their beak's. They treat it like it is one of their pumice and wood toys. How fast can we get to the bottom. Like the Owl and the tootsie pop. 1-2-3-GONE.

    Doubt I will buy again

    By on

I thought this would be a good perch and a great treat. My Conure loved it, but it certainly didn't last long. Several pieces ended up on the bottom of the cage in a very short time. Before long it was completely destroyed. I think it's too pricey for such a short time of enjoyment.

My green cheek conure loves it

She loves to destroy hers and the medium holds up for quite a while for her. My cockatiels were never interested (but they never are)

    My cockatiel loves it!

    By on

She isn't a very picky or scared bird, so she investigated it eagerly. She nibbled it and perched on it. I will buy these again in the future! Thank you chewy for the best prices and customer care around! Came in great shape and is bigger than expected, which is a plus!

Comfortable Perch is also edible, How nice!

    By on

Perches of different widths offer some comfort and relief to feather friends usually kept to just one width perch. That's what I liked about this perch. It was a plus that it was tasty, too.

    Wasn't sure at first

    By on

But my Cockatiel, Baby, has decided he like to chew on the ends. It took him a while to even touch them. He has 2 pink type in with him now. Have a green one ready to add. As long as Baby is happy, Mom is happy. Will be buying again.

Great perch, can even use for foraging!

    By on

This perch is great! My quaker parrot was afraid of it at first of course so I stuffed avicakes into the holes. Within a day, he was loving this perch! Trims his nails and beak, exercises his feet and it's totally edible!
