    Help America's birds (and bees!)

By birdfriend on Jun 28, 2021

I love this seed because it is grown without pesticides, including neonicotinoids. Neonicotinoids are terrible for bees-- farmers use neonicotinoids for pests and end up killing local bees, and harmless insects that birds eat. These pesticides have been linked to drops in bird populations. Do you know there are 29% fewer birds in the United States and Canada today than in 1970? As if that weren't enough, scientists are also investigating links between autism spectrum disorder and neonicotinoids. So I'm delighted to find a birdseed that is grown in a way that helps birds and bees both on the farm, and in my backyard. Our local birds love it, and I love seeing the chickadees, finches, and nuthatches I love this seed because it is grown without pesticides, including neonicotinoids. Birds love it, no pesticides and a non-GMO product!

By CaliKat on Jan 14, 2021

Supports a family farm that uses no synthetic pesticides in their seed. Good for the planet, supporting small family business, and our birds LOVE them. What's not to like? Wish it was organic, but pretty darned good.

    Great for Sun Conures

By ClownBird on Dec 16, 2020

We have 2 young Jenday Sun Conures. We have our Little Guys mostly on raw vegetables and pellets. So we bought this product to use as "training treats". And they love it! Highly recommend it :)

    Food for our bird firends

By Jeannie on Apr 9, 2020

Thank you for the Eco-friendly bird sunflower seeds - it is difficult to keep my feeder filled as the birds love the sunflower seeds. Chewy, during these stressful times of being quarantined due to COVID-19, was very forthright in letting me know when my order would be delivered; they kept me up-to-date on the arrival date. Thank you Chewy!

SO happy to have ORGANIC feed for the wild birds

By PrettyGirl on Apr 4, 2020

Thank you so much Chewy for carrying ORGANIC bird feed. It breaks my heart that I would feel our wild birds food coverage with pesticide or genetically modified. Please carry more options for organic bird feed.

    Disappointed!

By Cleota on May 18, 2020

The seeds are so tiny, there is barely any seed at all, just husk. Our birds aren't eating it.
