Flurry, our Siberian Husky, is at home in her crate. Initially she required extensive positive-reinforcement training to warm up to her crate (but that's a separate discussion). True to her breed's heritage as escape artists and problem-solvers, Flurry learned how to unlatch the crate herself. She would slide the crate door up & over while holding it in her jaw & howling in puppy frustration. (She never tried to chew her crate, however.) Us humans had the idea to clip carabiners on each latch. When the cheap carabiners clearly wouldn't hold up, we upgraded to strong, aluminum, multi-ton-rated carabiners. Those worked perfectly! The only other problem was that Flurry used to dig or attempt to Flurry, our Siberian Husky, is at home in her crate. The only other problem was that Flurry used to dig or attempt to chew at the crate floor as a sign that she was bored. That behavior served as a reminder to us dog parents that we needed to offer more play & exercise - problem solved. Flurry is now two years old, often choosing to rest in her crate multiple times a day. Our mature Siberian Husky seems to benefit from the open ventilation of the wire crate and to prefer sleeping on the hard, cooler crate floor. The double door option has allowed us to rearrange our living room. We only close Flurry in her crate and lock the main door's carabiner when we are going to sleep for the night or if we're leaving home for a little while. (She still occasionally gets into mischief if left to her own entertainment.) We are fans of this crate design, as a family!… more

I love this crate. The handle on top, the doors, how sturdy this is. My dog is a Jack Russell and she is about 16 pounds. She fits in this crate just fine. Now, if she was going to be in there for any length of time I would probably get her the next size up.
I bought this for her so that she could escape from our Mastiff sometimes. I won't be locking her in so this works just fine for our needs.

This is a well-made extremely nice cage however I believe the tiny dog crate is a little too small and should go to the small cage as my dog is 4 pounds in it and can not turn around comfortably
great until it wasnt

My Great Dane puppy was able to escape this crate when she was still under 50 lbs. Many dogs may not try and get out like my dog so this may work for you. 1 Star due to the the wires/frame/doors bending easily and rusting everywhere.

My 6 month old puppy managed to break the welded lock off making it useless. Very disappointed. Bought in August and it's now December. Not worth the money we paid for it.

I love that the doors have the five hooks to secure the door and it was great for my akita when he was a puppy. He has now figured out all he has to do is headbut the door and the bottom hook will pop right out. I am afraid he is going to get hurt trying to get out of the bottom of the door and he bends it up at night. I put a pad lock in the corner now to keep him from pushing the door open.

The overhead door came in handy when my puppy was too sick to walk out. Sturdy construction albeit slightly heavier than a different brand I had of the same size. Interior divider was difficult to install due to its tight fit but very secure for the same reason. Do not care for the non removable metal Precision brand plate attached to the front door but the door stays open except for traveling. Perfect size for my 2 lb puppies.
Delivery Was Great!!!!

Once again, I am thrilled with the service I got from Chewy.com. I wish I could say the same about the cage. Put it together, then had to move it. Even without a dog in it, the cage bent. I am a 56 year old female who sits at a desk all day, so I am not strong enough to bend anything. Therefore, I have to believe it was bent before Chewy sent it. Not there fault. Thankfully, my dog does not fight a cage, so it should not be a problem.
