If you are expecting tiny pills like you get from your vet, these are not them. I did call and I was told that there is no way to know what manufacturer you will be provided, so they could be any size. I don't think I can get my dog to eat these.
My Connie has EPI. Her albumin protein and her weight had been low for months. It wasn't until we started her on prednisone 5mg tablet once a day that the inflammation in her intestines went down and her albumin protein level was finally up over 2.0. I do not like the side effects of this drug though, as Connie is always hungry and thirsty and just a little crazy too, but its worth it cuz she's healthy again
This is a required medication for my dog’s non-functioning adrenal glands. I love the auto-ship and it’s a great price!
I love that Chewy handles everything for prescriptions. Our veterinarian really appreciates the great service as well! Arrives on time and great communication during the process!
Jenny needs Prednisone for end stage cancer. The convenience and cost of ordering through Chewy is a blessing during these difficult times.
My dog, Joey, has Addison's disease and requires one tablet per day for life. Chewy had a reasonable price and it was shipped promptly. Thanks Chewy!
My 12 year old has arthritis in her hips. This helps relieve the pain. One low dose every other day with food in the morning.
My vet said my cat had asthma and prescribed prednisone. I was happy when I check with Chewy and saw the cost was affordable. Thank you.
I am very happy that my Harvey was put on Prednisone to help him with his IBD flares. They were so awful. He was so sick with diarrhea, lethargic, wouldn't eat, dehydrated. He was in hospital for 3 days, had a bunch of diagnostics done and when all was said and done all signs pointed to IBD. His albumin protein level was low and his white blood cells were low as well. Ultrasound showed his lower intestines inflamed and lymph nodes too, but no cancer. Prescribed 1 12 tablets prednisone along with a few other drugs he was already on, but that prednisone is what did the trick. However, side effects are bad for Harvey. He is uptight and anxious, always hungry and thirsty, always panting when awake and does not sleep all night cuz he wants food. We are now working on tapering his dosage down hoping the side effects will subside and his albumin protein will not got back down. Wish us luck! Prednisone is a miracle drug for inflammation, but side effects suck
I wish Chewy carried the medi-melts. My girl gave no trouble with them. They taste like chicken and she would actually beg for them thinking they were treats. It made for a less traumatic experience.for her. Other than that they work the same
