Description

If your cat litter is being asked to handle a litter of cats, this is the scoopable clay clumping formula for you. This litter unleashes our maximum strength formulation, combining a fresh scent and baking soda crystals for maximum odor control with this go-to scoopable clumping clay litter. Any more carefree, and it would scoop itself. If only.

Key Benefits
  • This product is formulated to release a fresh fragrance and provide extra odor control for pet waste. Made with baking soda to absorb odors for a fresh litter box.
  • Perfect for households with multiple cats. Not only does this product have superior clumping but it also has low-tracking and low dust.
  • Premium choice litter contains the fewest additives possible and is all-natural, naturally.
  • The best formula is ironically the most basic – the purest clay and sodium bentonite available. This product is made with the purest clay and sodium bentonite available.
  • The clay is produced directly by Premium Choice. They mine, convert, package and deliver their own clay.
Precautions

Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii—a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

Instructions
  • Generally, about 3 inches of non-clumping clay litter, or 1 – 2 inches of scoopable litter should get the job done. Some say less, some say more. Only you and your cat will know the correct amount.
  • Remove solid, waste at least once per day and conventional, non-clumping and scoopable litters alike. Replace the entire contents of non-clumping clay weekly. And remember to replace the clumps you removed with fresh to keep the level up.
  • Litter lasts about 30 days under normal circumstances. If you have more cats, you'll probably want to replace your litter more frequently to better control odors. Your cat's reaction to the litter box is also a good indicator that it's time, so if Precious isn't going in it's time for the litter to go out.
  • Wash the litter box with soap and warm water and rinse well every time you change litter completely. Box liners are great for helping make litter box maintenance a bit more carefree.

Additional Instructions

  • Only dispose of used cat litter in trash. Do not flush, bury or dispose of it outdoors, in gutters or storm drains to avoid environmental contamination.
  • Not for internal use. Not meant for use as compost or as a traction aid.
  • Store in a cool, dry place. Product filled by weight; some settling may occur.
Transition Instructions

Your cat may not like new litter, so go slow. Mix the new litter in with the old in a ratio of about 1/3 new to 2/3 old. Increase the new litter gradually until you have a total switch-over.

  • Good value for the prive

Almost lives up to its self-description. This litter does not absorb unpleasant smells as thoroughly as advertised, although it does somewhat. Does appear to be low-dust: my sensitive cat has not started wheezing again.

  • not great quality

Doesn't track everywhere but kind of stinks and I was not impressed with it's clumping ability. I bought it hoping the cute indie label would bely deeper quality but it's just mediocre.

  • Cat Litter

I have been trying different type's of cat litter to see which one stands out. Unfortunately this cat litter wasn't that great. I have two special needs kitty's, one urinate's a lot, the other has diarrhea. The cat litter came out of the bag in a cloud of dust, once the cats used it, the clay turned to cement, I could hardly scrape it out of the box, there isn't any odor control and the litter scattered all over. I would not recommend this litter

  • Cat loves it!

If my cat could let you know what she thinks about the bag of litter in her box she sure would tell you that she is very happy to be able to use it. No dust clouds when it was put in her box. No extreme tracking at all. Beatrice is a long haired furry ball of fur. No litter on her pads of her feet or in any of her coat. She is very happy to be able to dig and move the litter wherever she wants in her covered litter box. Sometimes I wonder if she isn't part dog because of her love of digging in her box! Haha. Great clumping and doesn't break apart when I have to scoop it out. I recommend that you try a bag litter in your furry friends litter box today!

  • The Price Is Right!

I thought this product was awesome (packaging was different from the picture, but I don't care about that). It was a nice fine sand with a pleasant scent + baking soda (like I used to be able to get from another major brand, but it either disappeared from the market, or they don't sell it in Georgia [where I just moved]?) It clumps really hard & my cats seem to prefer it over the other brand in the other litter box. The downside is, being fine sand, it's easier to kick out of the box, but then again it doesn't seem to track all over the house, either. And the price is certainly right for the amount you get. Win, win, win. I like it & will continue ordering.

  • Good clumping, but a lot of dust

    By on

I bought this litter because of great reviews and to save a little money on litter costs for our two cats. My cats seem to be okay with it; but then, neither of them is picky about what litter I use and both have happily used every brand I've tried over the years without any problems. We have one very large, covered litter box (made from a big Rubbermaid storage box) used by both cats. As others have commented, this litter is economical. It clumps very well as far as I can see, and doesn't track any more than other, similar clumping litters. However, I do notice a fairly high level of dust when I pour it into the box and when I scoop out the box. I wouldn't say it's the highest level of dust I bought this litter because of great reviews and to save a little money on litter costs for our two cats. However, I do notice a fairly high level of dust when I pour it into the box and when I scoop out the box. I wouldn't say it's the highest level of dust I've seen in cat litter, but it's still a significant amount. It's too high for me to feel comfortable about my cats breathing it in a closed litter box. I also have upper respiratory allergies that can be made worse by breathing in dusts and perfumes. What I've done is alternate this brand with another, more expensive brand that truly does not produce much (if any) dust. The alternation between the two still saves money, while also reducing the dust. I would not use this litter exclusively for my cats. However, if you have many cats with multiple boxes and/or open litter boxes that limit the concentration of the dust then it may work well for you. It definitely has a good price point compared to other clumping litters. … more

  • Clumps well, but dusty

    By on

I found that this litter clumps well and the scent is nice but subtle. However, it's considered low dust but I feel like Pigpen kicking up dust when I scoop the litter. Price is good but the next time I buy litter I have to weigh the con of the dust factor with this one. I only "sort of" recommend this product because of the dust.

  • Returned to this litter after trying other brands

    By on

OK, no cat litter is perfect. This one is a bit dusty. BUT it tracks less than other litters, the price is right, and it scoops well. Also, the 25 pound package is packed in strong paper, not plastic.

I have 1 cat and I scoop every other day. Using this litter and keeping it about 4-5 inches deep, I never have to scrape the bottom to remove stuck-on litter, and I don't smell a thing!
