Approximately 1-in-5 canine companions over the age of 1 suffer from osteoarthritis (1). Osteoarthritis is a chronic disease that’s painful and progresses with age. The cartilage in the joints wears down leading to swelling and stiffness, which can make it difficult for your dog to move (1,2). Luckily, giving your pup PREVICOX (firocoxib) once a day can help relieve OA’s pain and inflammation, and help put your best friend back in motion!
PREVICOX Starts working to control the pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis in your dog within hours of the first dose (3). It works by controlling pain and inflammation at the source by inhibiting the enzyme, COX-2, cyclooxygenase-2.
While osteoarthritis can’t be cured, it can be managed with an effective combination of appropriate exercise, weight control and PREVICOX. You can help your dog get back to the active, playful life you both love and enjoy by ensuring she maintains a proper weight, gets the right type and the correct amount of exercise, and by using PREVICOX to manage her OA-related pain.
PREVICOX is a non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) developed specifically to relieve canine joint pain and help restore your dog’s natural, normal movement. This tablet is easy to give to your four-legged friend because she’ll love the BBQ flavor! PREVICOX has been used by veterinarians for years. Follow your veterinarian’s recommended dosing plan to ensure that your dog gets her PREVICOX dose every day.

PREVICOX Prescribing Information
PREVICOX is for use in dogs only. People should not take PREVICOX. Keep PREVICOX and all medications out of the reach of children. PREVICOX, like other NSAIDS, may cause some side effects. Serious side effects associated with NSAID therapy in dogs can occur with or without warning, and, in rare situations, result in death. The most common side effects associated with PREVICOX therapy involve the digestive tract (vomiting and decreased food consumption). Liver and kidney problems have also been reported with NSAIDs. It is important to stop the medication and contact your veterinarian immediately if you think your dog has a medical problem or side effect while taking PREVICOX tablets. Evaluation for pre-existing conditions and regular monitoring are recommended for any pets on any medication, including PREVICOX. Use with other NSAIDS, corticosteroids or nephrotoxic medication should be avoided. Please refer to the prescribing information for complete details.
