Prevue Pet Products Tinkle Turf System for Dogs

Very strong chemical smell dog won’t use it. I bought this for camping because Zita doesn’t like to go to bathroom any place but her regular spot and she’ll hold it till she can’t hold any longer . Pee once a day and Not poop For 4 days. I left this in her spot in my yard for a week . Would just push it out of her way. A waste of money as far as I’m concerned

My dog who was used to a large backyard had to contend with a balcony in an apartment and she used it the very first day and has not missed once!! It is easy to clean and very neat.

I was worried my 7 month old pup would never be potty trained as she's successfully ruined every rug I own. This was my last hope. I bought the large as I figured it'd be hard for her to ignore or miss it (she's a Shih tzu - Chihuahua mix and tiny). At first she didn't know what to do with it, so I thought I'd help her out. Occasionally she's good and will use a puppy pad. I took one of the used pads and placed it under the turf. As soon as she realized she's peed there before, she immediately took to it and regularly uses it now instead of the rugs. Thank god.

I got this when I worked overtime and for thunderstorms and my 5 year old little terrier quickly learned this was where to go when it wasn't time to go outside. I also put a pet pad under it in order to soak up the urine and quickly wash with dish soap afterward. It is good as new after washing both the grass and tray. This is great.

Thought this would solve buying piddle pads and using old towels to lay down if we had to be gone longer than usual. WRONG! They peed beside it, around it, anywhere but on it. My dogs are all adults so maybe that’s the reason but I wouldn’t waste the money unless you can train from puppy stage.

I am not recommending this product for older dogs. I do not have a doggy door because one of my dogs (8 year old female Chihuahua/Maltese mix) is a big barker and would bark all day long outside if left there. I work during the week but am able to come for an hour on my lunch break, leave her at 8:00 am, return at 12:00pm, leave the house at 1:00pm and return to the house again at 5:00 pm. She does not have a very big bladder and would pee on my bedroom carpet (large bedroom and bathroom). So I bought 2 of the Tinkle Turf systems placing one in my large bathroom and one in front of my French doors in the family room leading out to the backyard in case I forgot to close the bedroom door in the I am not recommending this product for older dogs. Per suggestions on this site, I placed doggie pads under the green “grass” mat to absorb urine. I also used the “Out! Go Here Attractant” spray on the “grass” mat. Well, no amount of training has helped. I took her to both of the spots every four hours for over a month. No dice! The “grass” doesn’t even seem nice to me. I think she is too used to real grass and carpet! I think they should make the “grass” mat more of a soft cotton/polyester material that is washable and dry-able in our machines. Or you could take it outside, hose it down and then put it in your dryer. That “grass” is probably OK for the youngest puppies, but once dogs are older and know what real grass is like, IMHO, it doesn’t pass “muster”. … more

So far it's a no go, I'll still try to work with it. It has however taught my cat to go outside the litter box... so I put it away and keep him in other room if my old do stays home.

It is a great idea as we purchased for our 2 shitzu bichons, but they are not interested in it. My mother had back surgery so this was something we hoped would help in preventing her from bending down to leash them. It is a shame because it was expensive and turned out to be useless.

This is great for when there is snow or rain and our dog doesn’t want to go outside. We had to add adhesive Velcro on each corner. Easy to clean. This is a good size for a smaller dog, enough room to sniff then go. Our dog is 8 pounds.

I bought this for my daughters little Pug she is almost 3 and has always had potty issues she is still crated but has a hard time finding the right spot for peeing! I bought her this and she would not go on it I was visiting and kept pointing to it told her pee pee May and guess what she did !!!!The next night they were grilling out and she went on her own!! It takes time but a dog that is not a puppy can learn!
