I love my bird cage, but I think it would be better with modifications. How do I go about purchasing pieces so that I can make the alterations I want?
Each of our cages is specifically designed with a general purpose, and making alterations in the design could affect the structure of the cage, and affect the way it functions. Therefore, we do not recommend making any alterations to any of our cages.

Mr. Peeps new mansion
By Susan on Feb 26, 2021
It came in 4 days and was perfect condition. Although it took a while, I put it together by myself and I'm not that good at doing that kind of thing. I read other revues before buying so it was not a surprise that the feed trays were cheap. I broke one trying to put it in. I threw them out and bought different cups at the pet store. My conure loves to hang out on top of the cage with toys and look outside. We are very happy with this cage. We wish we had bought it first. It is a good deal for the money.

At least our Budgies are happy
By BeardedBudgie on Feb 8, 2021
Showed up fairly quickly, the box was in tact. Took everything out and sorted the parts accordingly. Did have some broken cage wires but nothing that can't be fixed. Took me 30 minutes to put together. Took my time, one step at a time. The trick is to not torque the bolts all the way down. Tighten the bolts enough to hold the panels in place, then tighten all the way once everything is set up. The cage wires do feel flimsy, but the cage structure is solid and our budgies are happy they have all the room.

Sharp parts and easy open doors
By Hazardous on Jan 17, 2021
I read a lot of reviews before purchasing this cage. Cage arrived with a crack in the slide out tray, no biggie. I thought that the spring opening doors wouldn't be a big deal to lock tight (there are six) I ended up having to use zip ties. I'm pretty confident that even budgies could slowly work through the zip ties. The bigger problem is all six razor sharp springs. Both ends exposed to the inside of the cage where little feet or faces could be badly cut. To make it worst wire cutters can't get through them. Took me an hour with needle nose pliers to slowly bend the little springs away from the bars bit by bit like working a key off of a key chain. Don't bother trying to save money on this I read a lot of reviews before purchasing this cage. Cage arrived with a crack in the slide out tray, no biggie. The amount of retrofitting to make up for the doors the fly open with the slightest touch and no locks, and the wolverine bone strong razor springs, it's just not worth the work. Spend more, work less. … more

Not the best but it works
By Julia on Jan 14, 2021
This was a decent cage. Definitely need a second person to help put it together. What I don’t like about it is you have to stick your hands in the cage to retrieve the food every time. I feed the birds twice a day and they are very new birds for me so they don’t trust me yet so sticking my hands in the cage is not great. The plastic food containers are close to breaking soon and I’ve had it two months. The rods are too long to sit straight across the cage. The side doors are in the worst places. I noticed Some of the bars on the cage were broken when I was putting it together. It just felt kind of cheap. I’ve made everything work with some glue and zip ties but its just not a GREAT quality buy This was a decent cage. Definitely need a second person to help put it together. Better Than Expected
By Tester on Jan 8, 2021
Cage came on second day after ordering it and was in perfect condition. I had it Put together in about 30 minutes, laid some paper in the bottom, filled up the water / food feeder cups and put my two budgies in it. The cage has plenty of room for the budgies to fly and they love it. I was worried about the condition the cage would be in after shipping and reading some reviews but mine was perfect and went together like a breeze. Take your time and pay attention to the instructions and the direction the parts are assembled in and you’ll have no problems. Now all I have to do is add some perches and toys to make this the perfect habitat for my budgies.

Love it very durable my ringneck loves it as well!
By Amber on Mar 1, 2021
I love this cage! Perfect for my Indian ringneck, she loves the space. I didn't like the bowl that it came with so I purchased metal bowls makes it easy to take them in and out. The cage is very durable highly recommended. Chewy also delivered very fast!

Birdies Love it!!!
By MsPhil on Dec 30, 2020
The birdies and I really love our new cage. Chewy was awesome getting it to us quickly. Assembly not so bad, but some parts required some slight bending to go where needed. 2 person assembly is probably best! 4 budgies live quite comfortably in there. I love the bottom storage area and mobility of the cage. It's sturdy enough and worth the price. I would definitely recommend a seed catcher. I purchased the XL size and that has worked so far placed properly.

Fantastic Cage
By Villain on Jan 2, 2021
This cage is fantastic, my two budgies had a cage I got from a flea market two years ago that was cheap, well when I added a second budgie I noticed they were quite cramped so I bought this cage, it was bigger than expected but they now can fly in the cage without worry, I love it! Though the shelf at the bottom is small it can still house the seeds and treats I have for them, wonderful product!

Great Flight Cage
By Tati on Dec 4, 2020
We unexpectedly adopted two Pied Ringneck Doves from an elderly lady who fell ill, and soon found out the cage we had been given for the doves was much too small for what they needed. We searched a several different sites for the right size cage, and found it at Chewy.com. This cage is great. Multiple doors/openings to adjust perches, some of which are spring loaded to close automatically. It came with 3 long perches and 2 plastic dishes for feeding. We ended up cutting down the size of the third perch to go front to back, rather than all of them basically in same position. This allowed for more flight variety when changes perches. Even with our modifications, this cage was well worth it. … more
