Not as big a hit as the turkey and duck but still a good choice

I'm trying to feed more "species appropriate" foods to my cat and what is more appropriate for a cat than raw meat? I tried the turkey (big hit!) and the duck (also well loved) The pork didn't seem to excite my cat as much as the other flavors but maybe she just wasn't as hungry the day I offered it I'm trying to feed more "species appropriate" foods to my cat and what is more appropriate for a cat than raw meat? I feed it dry, crumbled up a bit. That's the way my cat prefers it. A nice perk to feeding raw food is that the cat's stools are smaller and don't smell AT ALL!! not sure why that is but it's a nice extra benefit!! … more

It has pros and cons for us

    By Tones10521 on May 31, 2021

I’ve heard nothing but great things about this brand and wanted to try it for our two cats. The food comes in these blocks that take longer to prepare than other brands that use little nuggets. I personally can’t break these apart when they’re dry so I wet them with warm water and have to break them I’ve heard nothing but great things about this brand and wanted to try it for our two cats. I personally can’t break these apart when they’re dry so I wet them with warm water and have to break them apart after they’ve soaked a couple minutes. Not the worst thing in the world but when it’s 6am and two cats are constantly meowing at you for food, the extra time it takes to prepare this can quickly become annoying. One of our cats enjoys this flavor and will eat everything in one sitting. Our other cat sniffs it and always walks away from it but she comes back 10-15 minutes later and will eat it. Overall I’ll still keep this food in their rotation but perhaps not as frequently as other flavors. … more

My cats love this food so far.

I was told once that cats love the taste of pork and this is certainly true of Primal Freeze Dried Nuggets. My cats love this and I feel good feeding them something that isn't filled with additives, starches, or grains.

Eight cats used to love now NONE will finish their dinner

    By on

The new formula has bones as the second ingredient instead of third. My cats do not like it at all...Kale? Celery? Do cats eat these in the wild? The nuggets are heavier due more bones. They are smaller too. So now you recommend feeding more nuggets than ever.still 48oz (more bones). Very disappointing.

    My cat hates primal

    By on

I think it really depends on your cat. Mine loves VE but hates primal. He ate neither the duck one nor this pork one. Every time he just smells it for a while and turn his head away...

    My cat loves these

My cat Victor goes crazy for these. We stopped canned food and moved to this for health reasons. He actually licks the bowl each night. And surprised that the Pork flavored is his favorite.

    for picky itchy cats

    By on

My incredibly picky cat with horrible skin allergies has loved this forever. She prefers it dry, so I feed her a different wet food as well (currently royal canin Rx moderate calorie gi morsels). Both are pork flavor.
