If you are thinking of ordering this item, look at something else instead. The gate itself was nice - blue painted wood. The small white plastic pieces that attach to the wall were a joke. They look like they would last about two days. We ended up not putting it up. It seems like too much trouble to return it. Maybe we will use it in the garden, sideways, as some sort of trellis.
Needs constant adjustment
This gate requires a lot of adjustment during assembly, but because the "hinge" and "latch" pieces are actually just threaded bolts held in place by jam nuts, these things wiggle loose daily and require constant adjustment - definitely keep a wrench or pliers on hand. It also looks unfinished, with all of the shiny hardware and adjustment holes exposed (6 pieces of zinc hardware and 10 holes visible per side, just on the cross bars). I have used better quality gates that cost less than this, I definitely would not recommend it, a very disappointing purchase.
Bar spacing dimensions wrong
First of all, this came in a lot of pieces and was not great to put together. Second, the bar spacing is 3 inches, not 1.75 so my dog slipped right through. Frustrating as it took 6 days to arrive instead of 1-3 as well. Not stoked about it.

Great gate!
I love this gate. No more climbing over and there's no threshold to possibly trip over. One hand to open. Only issue was there was one place where a hole for a bolt wasn't drilled, but no problem. Grabbed my drill and drilled it myself.
Many pieces to assemble
Came in a box and had a lot of pieces to assemble, every slat had to be put in- no biggie as this cuts down on packaging. Once assembled we decided to raise it a bit so our cat could easily go under it (bottom height we used 8 inches). I love the look, we needed the width and the ease of functionality however I'm not sure we are your "typical" users- our lab won't try to push on it or chew on it, its mostly to keep him in the kitchen dining area while we are gone or at night. It seems sturdy when properly latched which we don't use typically either.
Pet gate heaven!
Super Easy assembly. Sturdy and super cute. Great for the bottom of the stairs with an easy one handed lock and unlock. No pinch areas so good for kids too!
Not what I expected
Gate arrived in a 3 x 4 1/2 x 28” box requiring total assembly! 16 pieces plus a bag of hardware. Took forever to arrive even showing “in stock” in the listing. Now I have to try to put it together. not happy with this purchase.
Love the style but material was disappointing
I love this gate now that it is set up. But between the swollen wood making the screws too small to fit and the basic wall screws breaking in the wall from how fragile they are it became frustrating to install.
love the look
I love blue, so this worked out great for me. However the instructions were vague. I have it set up at the bottom of my stairs to keep my 2 doggos seperate because they go into fight mode if the 'downstairs' dog goes upstairs into the others territory and vise versa. It does the job and fits my decor.
