It can be used by all cats and dogs, and we recommend starting when the animal has got its permanent teeth. The dosage depends on the weight of the animal.
The product should be given regularly in accordance with the dosage instructions. Results can usually be seen within 2-3 weeks. The positive effect can be seen as long as the product is taken, but disappears when you stop using it. The product is safe and can be used continuously.
Animals having problems with the thyroid gland must be careful with their intake of iodine. Since algae, including Ascophyllum nodosum, have a naturally high iodine content, we do not recommend that animals with thyroid problems use this product without a prior consultation with a veterinarian.
No studies have been carried out with specific focus on the effects of ProDen PlaqueOff' on pregnant or lactating animals. Therefore, we do not recommend giving the product to pets that are pregnant or lactating.
ProDen PlaqueOff' Powder is not a substitute for tooth brushing. It is a complement to brushing and the combination will help remove plaque and tartar and keep your pet's mouth clean.
Most commercial pet foods include baseline vitamins and nutrients, but some may not have the adequate amount to suit your pet's exact health needs. Like in humans, vitamins and supplements can help support your pet's long-term health, regulating everything from digestion to muscle growth. Consult your veterinarian to determine the best vitamins and supplements for your furry friend.
It is recommended to give the suggested dosage based off your pet's weight. Please refer to the Feeding Instructions tab and consult with your veterinarian for more information.

My cat has stomatitis and was on interferon and antibiotics. There were times he couldn't eat for the pain. It became impossible to get veterinarian interferon and I tried this in desperation to find something to help him. I use once a day on Hartz Squeezables and he loves it. He has gained weight, not gone off his food and has had no more antibiotics. This doesn't cure it, but is best treatment I have found for it!
I've seen/smelled a huge improvement of my cat's gums and breath. His gums were red and bled a little when I brushed his teeth, but no more blood on the toothbrush and they don't see to be as sensitive. If you have a picky cat like me, I suggest you mix it well into their favorite wet food or treat, because he won't eat it if it's visible.
I gave my dog a very small dose of this product (1/2 or less of a scoop) as recommended on the bottle. Oh boy did it do a number on her digestive tract. Two days of horrible smelling diarrhea!! I really wanted this to work for her but it’s not worth the cost to her health. So if your dog has even a slightly sensitive stomach I would take a pass on this product. $20 wasted:(
I always read the one star reviews first.. I'm not sure what they did different but this product worked great with my fur ball ... I used it in combination with the breath chews and the toothpaste and it is done wonders....
I have been using this product for 6+ months now and it definitely works and is much cheaper than the Per Support powder I was purchasing from my vet. Additionally, it is recommended by the VOHC as an approved dental product.
I didn’t want to give up on this product bc my dog was finally developing enough plaque on his teeth for our vet to notice. I will admit I do not brush my dog’s teeth everyday, maybe every three days or so. Our vet recommended we keep up with my dog’s dental care, and during my dog’s next yearly checkup, we would decide if it got to the point where we would need to talk about dental procedures. We’ve been using this product since end of august, and I write this review end of november. I was picking at my dog’s plaque, and it just fell off! I’ve attached pictures of this. I will continue to include this in our regimen since it has the VOHC seal compared to other similar products from different brands.
Just started using this product so really don't know how good it will work. Had good reviews so we shall see. Until I know how it works I can't recommend at this time.
As someone who tries to regularly brush their dogs teeth but feels that I do not do a good job, I decided to try PlaqueOff. Boy what a surprise! I add the powder to their food once a day and let it go to work. I cannot recommend this product enough! Last night I checked the teeth of my senior Great Pyr who had had a lot of tartar and calculus build up but because of her age I am reluctant to have her teeth cleaned by the vet. Her teeth look fantastic! They look like they have been cleaned professionally.
I've been feeding this to my dog for a while now. I'm not sure if this makes him constipated or not, but it seems like when I feed it to him he sometimes will have difficulty pooping, but my husband never gives it to him when I'm gone for work and my dog doesn't seem to have difficulty pooping them. I've also not seen a difference in his teeth when I was using it consistently
I have a 13 yo Golden, and he has had professional cleanings, as well as the non-anesthetic cleanings (WICH YES THEY WORK DO THEM, don’t listen to vet blogs who want your money to put them out) but after covid, it became impossible to find those dentists, so I brush daily with enzyme toothpaste, and this in his food. I can tell you, I watched his plaque flake right off. Its seaweed (so if you find dried unsalted you can make yourself, but be careful of the sourcing) but it honestly works. I also give to my puppy to protect his teeth from kibble (the source of all the tooth decay) some tummy’s can be sensitive, start light, and add slippery elm if they have so stomach upset.
