I prefer the dental sleeve wipes because they bunch up less and I tend to maintain hold on them better. But these work very well
These help me keep my pooches teeth clean, especially since she is reluctant to deal with a toothbrush and toothpaste
I have a senior rescue dachshund who HATES having his teeth brushed. He will not allow an actual toothbrush in his mouth. This is the first product I have used with success. I previously used a washcloth to some success. This product is even better. The stridex-pad like material makes it really easy to get to his teeth. I will join the others who said their pet does not like the taste. There was a bit getting used to that for my guy. However, after a week or so, he generally tolerates it with only occasional displeased sighs. A win overall!
Smell and quality of cotton rounds seem fine. However the size of it is way to small to wrap around my finger and use on my cats teeth. I tried to find the size before my purchase but I don’t think it was not described on product detail. Did I miss it?
My senior chihuahua mix had to have his top back teeth removed and a drain put in until it healed. This was very traumatic for him and after he healed he no longer would let me brush his remaining teeth. I decided to try these dental wipes, although I really didn't think he would be receptive. To my surprise he lets me use them on his teeth every day, and he is ok with the taste. They have a pleasant odor and I'm very happy to be able to clean his teeth and mouth again. It's a win/win and I would recommend these wipes.
My adopted senior Chihuahua didn't like the sensation of a toothbrush, even the fingercot style, in her mouth. I was desperate to keep her last 6 teeth clean and healthy, so I bought these wipes thinking, "they'll be better than not doing anything." Turns out these wipes are GREAT. The pads are perfectly sized (about 2 1/4" across) for a smaller dog's mouth, and are soft and very moist. She doesn't mind these wipes and I'm able to clean her teeth every day. My Vet complimented the condition of her teeth at her health check last week! Proof that these wipes work. WIN!
Pretty good wipes . My dog loves the taste so she doesn’t mind me clean her teeth
This product is phenomenal. It cleans your dog’s teeth and breath and leaves a fresh toothpasty smell because it contains peppermint and spearmint oils. My dog had terrible mouth odor and tartar filled teeth, especially in the back. He has the beginnings of gingivitis and his gums bleed when he chews on bones, toys or twigs. I've wanted to get his teeth cleaned, but the cost is an obstacle so I've paid close attention to his oral health. I've wiped his bleeding gums with peroxide and brushed his teeth, which is difficult because he tries to eat everything you put in his mouth. It was really hard getting him not to lick the toothpaste off the brush or his teeth before I could really brush them. It was an ordeal, but had to be done. I started giving him Oravet chews, which are really good, but expensive. Then I saw this product. It sounded easy enough and a percentage goes to shelters so I bought it. It took a little while to get him used to not trying to eat the wipes. Embarrassingly enough, he ate one when I was cleaning his back teeth (no worries, no adverse effects), but he's getting better at it now. I noticed an immediate freshening of his breath and I was able to wipe food from between his cheeks and back teeth. They just enabled me to get his mouth cleaner than anything else and they're affordable. The only thing I wish they'd change is I wish they'd make the wipes a little larger. They can be tough to hold on to until you develop a technique. If they were large enough to wrap around your finger that would be perfect. The jar contains 50 wipes, but because they're so small you'll probably use at least 2, maybe 3 at a time. I still give him Oravet so it's not necessary to use them multiple times a day, but I can use more than 50 wipes before the end of the month. I have them on autoship and will increase my order to 2 jars.
I have not yet checked with my vet, but I am using these on both my young cats to prevent gum and dental disease. I am not sure if the ingredients are proven to be beneficial, but they are easy to use. One cat does however, dislike the smell and taste. Maybe a little less minty would be better. I will wait for the final word on if this product is useful when my cats go for their next check up
This product is so easy to use and most of my babies don't mind me using this. Teeth look better and their breath is fresher...
