To get the most accurate size harness for your pet, measure the girth of their chest, around the widest part of your dog's torso right behind the front legs, with a cloth tape measure. Pull the cloth tape snug, but not tight. If you don't have a cloth tape measure, you can use a piece of string and measure it with a rigid ruler afterwards. Make sure there's enough room for about two fingers between the harness and your pet's chest for comfort.

vastly undersized, self-defeating design.
By James on Jan 19, 2021
A medium doesn't fit my <20lb. chiweenie. The back of the neck is removable velcro that you can detach and adjust, which is secured with clips, like the shoulder straps of a backpack. However, the compression straps the clips are attached to are so short that the clips can't reach end to end to secure the neck once you widen it, making the whole design self-defeating and useless. I'm left to either choke my dog with the compression straps, or pretend velcro is going to hold together instead of popping right in half at the neck when my dog strains against the leash. yeah, right. I also can't recommend this harness for any sort of dachshund mix with a long back, as it's pretty short. It basically A medium doesn't fit my <20lb. chiweenie. For the barrel chested
By Quinn on Jan 18, 2021
Our pup outgrew his other puppia harness, and after trying a few others, I think we finally landed on a good one here. Knowing that all dogs are shaped differently, it’s not perfect around his neck, but it’s the best we’ve found overall. He’s very comfortable and it’s not bulky which he appreciates. I like the dual hook option as the walker :)

Works great!
By Piper on Jan 8, 2021
Had a hard time finding a harness that would fit our 12 lb mini schnauzer. Her lower neck is very small but she has a big girth. Other harnesses would fit her girth but left too much room in the neck area. This harness allowed us to tighten the neck enough that it worked fine for us. We bought the medium and although her girth is 19", it is tight. So I would say it runs a little small.

Don't understand the design of this Puppia
By minicooperkelly on Dec 31, 2020
I have two old Puppia harnesses that I our dogs have worn out so when I decided to try this design, it left much to be desired. The main thing I have issue with is the sizing. They run smaller than the traditional Puppias. There is one clip on each side of the neck which there is no way you can adjust! I do not understand the purpose of the clips. This style is more expensive so I think I will stick to the traditional Puppia harness.

great for 1 dog, not for other
By hudie on Jan 11, 2021
Bought this harness for our new puppy and LOVED it. When our older dog's harness was stretching out from years of use, decided to get her one as well. Unfortunately, she pulled right out of it on a walk today when she was trying to chase another dog. We don't trust it for her. About to look for a new harness now!

fits big kitty!
By condortravels on Dec 26, 2020
Mama Cat is our senior rescue. She is longer from her neck to shoulder blades than any cat harness we’ve tried. We’ve bought a LOT of cat-marketed harnesses. They don’t work for her. This Puppia harness is amazing! It is ~almost~ not long enough but like just perfect. So grateful to have found a good fit for her bc she loves to sit in the sun outside.

Too small for my dog
By JMBE on Jan 7, 2021
I measured and erred on the side of getting a large for my 30# dog. While he has a barrel chest, he is certainly not a large dog! But I can’t velcro it around his chest. So disappointed! I will return it and look for another brand.

Nice harness
By Tucker on Jan 7, 2021
It took a few moments to figure out how to use it but when we did it fit very well. The clips are very stiff and hard for arthritic hands to unclasp. Is there some why to make this easier to do?

Great, but runs small!
By BeauAndKenzi on Sep 25, 2020
I have bought three of these harnesses. I have a 45lb pup and a 20lb pup. I originally bought a Medium and a Large based off of the measurements, but the Large was still too snug for the 45lb pup even when loosened all the way. I really liked how the harnesses helped with pulling and they were better on walks so I bought the XL and it fits her perfectly with room to loosen it if need be. I have a 120lb pup who wouldn’t even begin to fit in these harnesses, they are definitely sized for small to medium dogs. Make sure to measure your pups and if you are deciding between two sizes, size up!

Best harness. My sister passed away 4 yrs old. She had a little dog. When she passed I got the dog he had a red puppia harness on. I always liked the harness and will always order it.
