I was worried at first because I never bought this brand before. But my cats go crazy for them especially the duck liver. It's also quite healthy. I will definitely purchase again.
I got these freeze dried duck treats to try with my cats after I discovered one of my cats had food allergies. We tried them this morning and both cats gobbled them up like these treats are the best thing they’ve ever had! I feel confident giving these treats because they don’t have a bunch of additives or ingredients that may cause my kitty allergy issues! 4 paws up from my two kitties!
All four of my kitties go wild for these treats, they love them sprinkled on their wet food at meal time.
We have been using this product for over ten years and all of our cats love it! We use it as an appetite enhancer, by cracking the pieces into powder and sprinkling on top of other foods such as Hill's can food. Healthy cats love them of course but also, those who have lost their appetite start eating their regular food by smelling this treat. I just shared a few pieces with a friend who has not been eating for 2 weeks and, she started eating again! Must have one in your pantry, always.
Purchased this since my cat now requires hypoallergenic treats. Unfortunately my cat wouldn’t go near it. When trying to break into smaller pieces, it turned to powder. I even tried mixing with warm water. Nope, not my kitty.
One of my kitties will eat anything, and the other strangely, wouldn’t touch these. I understood why pretty quickly. The kitty who ate these, got sick & vomited within 20-30 minutes, twice. He never throws up, very out of character. These treats are toxic. I threw them out.
It is very crumbly and powdery, so that may be a turn off for some. I can't use it for certain scenarios where I'd use treats for training or play, because it's crumbly. But I love that it's one ingredient. The cat loves it, both dry and rehydrated. I add a little hot water and let it sit for a minute. cat laps it right up.
I purchsed turkey, chicken & duck liver purebites, dog did fine on all but the duck. Sprinkled small amount over kibble & she had a horrible case of the runs, no more.
My cats love their Pure Bites snacks. I love them because the chunks are usually big enough to require my cats to chew them...not just inhale. It's better for their teeth and overall health.
Wouldn't touch the stuff. Some of the pieces were hard to break, some were tough and rubbery, the ones that would break or crumble to smaller bite size, he refused to touch.
