raw chicken- dogs for sic

This is raw chicken, and my dogs got sick. Apparently, freeze drying preserves bacteria. Chewy should stop selling this until the manufacturer cooks the chicken before freeze drying. Other than that, the freeze dry process made it easy for my dogs with few teeth to eat. The little pieces I put in their food. I’m cooking it all before giving it to them to use up what I have.

Weird orange-crusted pieces

I have no idea what that orange stuff is on so many of the pieces. Some pieces are wet as well, as though they were not dried properly. Cat's won't touch these pieces, which means there has to be something wrong with them since they will eat the non-orange-crusted pieces. I won't be buying this brand again. All of these freeze-dried treats have similar issues that all come from extremely poor quality control. The only really good ones are out of my price range, although I'm reconsidering since I have to throw about half of these treats away.
