The recommended feeding amounts indicated are based upon the average nutritional needs of an adult dog with normal activity. Factors, such as a dog's metabolism, breed size, activity level, age and whether the dog is spayed or neutered, will affect the amount of Purina ONE needed to maintain an ideal body condition. If you find that your dog is losing weight or becomes overweight when fed these amounts, please adjust accordingly. To help your dog maintain an ideal body condition, monitor your dog's weight on a regular basis, making sure that his ribs are easily felt and the waist is visible when viewed from above.
Puppies: Start puppies on moistened Purina ONE as early as they will nibble at solid foods, generally 3-4 weeks of age. Feed pups (to six months of age) all of the moistened or dry Purina ONE they will consume at intervals throughout the day. If water is added, use no more than one part warm (not hot) liquid to four parts Purina ONE, changing frequently to ensure freshness. If fed dry, this formula may be kept before pups at all times.
Reproduction: Purina ONE provides the extra nutrition needed by reproducing females in stages of gestation and lactation. Food consumption may vary during gestation, so feed the amount needed to maintain the pregnant female's good body condition. Food intake may double or even quadruple during lactation.
Please allow 7 - 10 days to ease the transition from his current food and a little more Purina ONE until you're feeding Purina ONE exclusively. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets.

Can always rely on Chewy

It is getting difficult to find the dog food I provide to my Springer. I have looked at the normal stores around town and could not locate it. I can always count on Chewy to have what I need and deliver quickly. Can't say enough great things about them. Will only get my food from them going forward. Have always bought my snacks and toys from them due to their great selection and variety as well as their quick delivery. THANK YOU.

Quality Dog Food

Been using this dog for for about 10 years now for a German Shepard and overall it has been a good quality dog food at reasonable price however the price keep going up and bag size got smaller over time and now it's about 25% higher than just a few years ago. Also the 40lb bag has been out of stock for over 4+ months and you were forced to buy the smaller size bags at a much higher price. This don't leave a good feeling and that is why I don't rate the product at 5 starts.

My son and I have used Purina One Lamb and Rice for the last 20 years with all of our dogs. They each have enjoyed the food and thrived on it. I definitely would recommend it and will continue to use it for my dogs.

Both my rotty and shepard love this food and they are picky. Only problem I have is the 40lb bag, difficult at times as getting older and hubby works out of town. Our vet is also pleased with our choice.

My dogs loved this product, even more than the more expensive dog food. My vet recommended this and I see why. Even my picky dog, eats all her dog food and I didn't have to add wet dog food to it for her to eat it. Will definitely keep buying this product for my dogs.

Great Taste Healthy Living

After Fed Ex delivered a destroyed box Chewy replaced the damaged bag quickly and at no additional cost. My dog loves the flavor and has never been healthier. Chutzpah is a Belgian Malinois and very finicky with a great deal of energy. We feed him 1 cup dry and one can of matching wet, only after he finishes his Dry.
