    New formula

    By on

My cat will still eat the new formula. His favorite seems to be the chicken. The product seems to have more liquid then before but since keeping a cat hydrated is one reason I feed cans, I'm ok with it. My cat is picky. We've narrowed it down to four flavors he will eat. One of which was recently discontinued. I hope he continues to enjoy the true instincts products.

    Cat wont eat new formula

    By on

Pretty dissapointed with this new formula. Not knowing it was new, I thought it came expired or something happened with this food becausr it looked different and mt cat wouldnt eat it. It was my cat's favourite and every day food and now he wont touch it. Chewy rep said there were no complaints about this food, but now seeing all the reviews saying the same, its obvious there are quite a few unhappy kitties here. Hopefullt i will be able to return the 6 cases of this food!!

    Don't waste your money

    By on

This cat food is ALMOST the food my cats eat but it's the "in gravy" on the label that makes it different. Right out of the can it is totally unappealing. My indoor cats won't touch it and neither will the outdoor strays that I feed. Purina, please bring back the One, True Instinct, GRAIN FREE, Chicken PLEASE!

    New formula is terrible

    By on

My two adult tabbies have been eating Purina one ideal weight and true instinct for over a year with no problems. Then I just got my most recent order and both cats will not eat it. Sitting here with five cases of food that they turn their noses up at. Going to be calling chewy or Purina or both to get compensated and return the product and find a new brand that they will eat. Has anyone with cat's nose this is a huge ordeal and a massive bummer.

    New formula, moving on

    By on

So my human was feeding me the chicken and gravy formula for months, which I happily ate. But now that they changed the formula, I won't go near it. To be nice, I put my paw in it to make an effort, but that's as far as I'm willing to take this. A real shame. I'm picky, and we had a winner for a while there. They should definitely go back to the old formula. Call it "classic" and charge my human a higher price. He'll pay it. I'm spoiled.

    This is sooooo yummie!!!

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

I guess...I have not tasted it...but, the two fur babiez that rule my house cannot get to their dish fast enough and it is a contest to see who can yell the loudest, to be sure I deliver to their dish first!!! afterwards, blissful silence as face, paw and whisker washing must be done...just in case there may be more on the way...

Changed the look and smell of the chicken

    By on

We have been getting this food for a while now for our cat due to his dietary needs. In my December shipment, the packaging was different. When I opened the can, the food looked different. Slightly different texture, darker color and different smell. He does not like it. So far the turkey flavor has remained the same but I see that the website says that formula may change too. Sad.

New formulation not edible for my cat

    By on

This is the only wet food that my cat would eat. Now he won't eat this. The color is different. Why did they change the formulation? Bring back the old formulation.

    New formula stinks!

    By on

Literally. My cat has been eating and enjoying this flavor for a year now, and he will not touch this. I worried it might have gone bad, contacted Chewy who graciously refunded me. I thought I'd try the turkey flavor, hoping that would be the same, but it's a no-go. Same stink, though not quite as knock-you-over as the chicken flavor. Midnight actually recoiled, always a bad sign. Off to find another chunks in gravy that doesn't make me wince. Any suggestions for a suitable replacement (for the food, not the cat ;-) welcome!
