We recommend that you keep your dog in ideal body condition and not allow your dog to become overweight. The exact amount of food your dog requires will need to be adjusted according to age, activity and environment. But a good place to start is with these guidelines for an average, active, adult dog fed once daily. Provide adequate fresh water in a clean container daily.
Please allow 7-10 days to ease the transition from your dog's current food. Each day, simply feed a little less of the previous food and a little more Pro Plan until you're feeding Pro Plan exclusively. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets.

Switched from Hills Science Diet mobility

I switched from Hills Science diet mobility as this has glucosamine, real chicken and its for dogs older than 7. Kaiser is a 9.5 year old European Red Doberman and he is at max life pretty much for this breed. I took a chance and switched. He loves it, eats it dry without mixing and I've seen no difference in his mobility. Also this is a little less expensive and you get 4 lbs more. I can order an 18 lb bag as well, which will happen next month, because there will be enough left, to just top it off. I really do like Purina products! PS Chewy is also the very best of the best in regards to prices, customer service and fast shipping! Kaiser says thank you RUFF!

Shaka, eight year old Rottweiler enjoys her new food. As the owner, I want the best for my pets. Since Shaka was adopted from the shelter, she has been eating ProPlan. She is healthy, strong, and beautiful! While I introduce Shaka to the new delicious food, she prefers the ProPlan Adult food over the ProPlan Large Breed. Our cat would eat Shaka's dog food, so I decided to buy ProPlan cat food for my two kitties. The kitties (Tommy and Erica) love ProPlan food too! Thank you.

I have no issues with the kibble itself at all. I just wish the 18 lb bag was just as reasonably priced as the 34 lb bag. The reason why I would want a lighter bag is because I live in a walk-up apartment. I really struggle getting the 34 lb bag up the stairs, but also the 34 lb bag is a much better deal than the 18-lb bag which puts me in a pickle.

I have 3 senior dogs and was looking for a dog food that had all the necessary ingredients for older dogs. I love the size of the kibble & the shredded dog food..my dogs absolutely love this dog food and never leave a crumb in their bowls.

I started using this for our dog a while ago. I like that it has the nutrients and vitamins recommended for older dogs. Sparky loves it too! Chicken is the first ingredient on the bag, so I know Sparky is getting real food like the other more expensive brands.

This is the first time I’ve tried this particular one. My dog is older and she’s getting finicky about what she eats. I can barely get her to eat anything anymore. I tried this out just to see if maybe she might eat it and she does. She nibbles on it all day. She eat some of her wet dog food and then a couple hours later she’ll eat this dry dog food. She kind of likes it.

We had moths and later discovered they were coming from the dog food. The soft pieces had the larvae and I found a couple trapped in a food container. So gross.
