Great Pyrenees

Hi My name is Diesel, I'm a 1 yr old Great Pyrenees who lives in southern MN. My mom bought me this new Purina Giant Breed dog food a few weeks ago. She mixed it with my old food so I could get used to it. I loved the bigger bits of this dogfood so much I picked them out and ate those and left the old stuff in my dish. I Love It!

Large kibble

Great size Kibble for our 200 pound Mastiff. The bag had way too many kibble crumbs in it though. I would have given this item 5 stars except for the kibble crumbs which seemed excessive.

Dusty and broken

I have to shake the kibble in a sieve to remove the insane amounts of dust and broken kibble before feeding it to my dog.

It might be a good food but my Saint Bernard refused to eat it I'm trying a higher quality dry food for her

Happy with this food

Transiting my Great Dane to this food since Royal Canin Giant Breed adult is unavailable. I was very nervous because the RC was the only food that kept his poop solid. So far the Pro Plan is working. No stomach issues and solid poop.

Healthy, Quality food for Giant Breeds!

Among other issues, my Great Dane has a severe skin allergy. Gets red and swollen all over, causing him great discomfort and constant itching to the point of raw spots. I tried special formulas and even prescription food. No improvement. Then my vet recommended this and it got a bit better. He also wasn’t gaining weight as he should and was lethargic. Now he is markedly healthier, good weight, happier and loves the taste! Best giant breed food I’ve found.

One of my three dogs liked the taste.

I won't buy it again because my Great Dane doesn't like the taste. I bought it with him in mind but he's not a fan. I am able to mix it in with his other tasty Pro Plan Salmon or Chicken and he will eat it then. The Afghan Hound likes it just fine and the Catahoula mix doesn't like it much.

Great for picky eaters

Both my Danes, nearly 2 yrs. old, are super picky eaters. They really like this food. I admit, I still make mealtime interesting with salmon oil or boiled chicken. But with other dog food, making it more "interesting" wasn't enough for them to eat an entire serving. I count this one as a win! Also, no tummy trouble and no diarrhea.
