is it best to store the kibble in the bag it comes in, or can it be stored in plastic air-tight containers?

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and dog food companies recommend that you seal your dog food. To seal your dog food bag, you can roll down the sides and use a bag clip to close up the bag. Then, store the whole bag of dog food inside of the airtight dog food storage containers. That way, the bag can provide an added barrier that helps seal in fats and oils to prevent them from becoming rancid later.
is it ocean salmon or is it from a farm.

Great for itchy skin

My German shepherd always had itchy skin ( gotten worse as he got older), constantly itching random area's. Tried several other brands of food and bathing him with different shampoos. This is the first one I found that actually helped. It took a few months but he no longer is constantly itching like he used to. His coat is much softer and shinier. He sure likes it also. It's pricy but worth it.

Easy transition

Our 7 year old golden doodle got "tired" of eating the same food for 3 years. I decided to switch and based on Chewy customer feedback chose Purina Pro Plan with salmon & rice. Made the change over 6 days and no problem with digestion issues. I do add some veggie toppings or a bit of cheese but find that she will eat it eagerly without toppings too.

Worked for all my pets

We have a few allergy prone, sensitive stomach big dogs and this food has been great for both. I like that we can use one food and both dogs are healthy, good looking coats, no throwing up their meals and keeping allergies under control. A win for our family for sure!

Prompt delivery

Always pleased with Chewy’s quick delivery. But this past order had two 10 lbs bag of dry food and a tray of 12 large wet food. All in one box!!!! Was so difficult to manage. I will change up my future order so Chewy is not tempted to put the entire order in one box!!!

reformulation inedible by dog

Since the recent run on this variety (and the increase in the cost of salmon), the reformulation doesn't even smell the same to me (Human). Dog walks away from it, unlike previous "version". Wish I hadn't bought two bags. Would give it a zero if I could.

never fails

My boy hanky (aka Fabio in this photo) seems to have stomach issues (barfing) if given much else. I had a golden mix back in the late 90s and the salmon was all she could eat her golden brother was allergic to corn. When Hanky seems to be having issues i immediate remembered how this food was a life saver back in the day and fit all the dogs needs. My other goof balls love it now too and their coats are beautiful

Tummy issues

My Two shepherds seemed to absolutely love this food but recently my oldest has been throwing it back up. Thought maybe the food was accidentally bad, but it’s continued. It’s not agreeing with her so I’ll have to switch to something else.

Seems Everyone Is Getting Switched

My rescue Maverick is about 4 years old I recently brought up numerous things at his appointment and I always wondered as well if he was allergic to purina dog chow (all my dogs have only ever had that food) well she suggested slowing switching over to this food. He's loves it his attitude has even changed he use to be territorial when he had his dog chow but when it comes to having this He's not bothered by anyone walking past he eats it up fast. He's been fully switched for about a week or two and definitely can see a difference. Not itching so much or licking himself or butt. The only major problem is wow is it expensive and it's hard to find in stores locally if need it right away. I really wonder why it seems majority of vets are switching so many animals to this brand

Finally a healthy dog that loves her food

My Chesapeake Bay Retriever used to vomit often and was at a time very skinny. She did not seem to like her food. She had all kinds of exams done, including an ultrasound, which were all inconclusive. The vet thought it was probably allergies. She was put in an expensive prescription diet, which she liked more than previous foods and gained some weight, but still vomited every now and then. The prescription food that used to be $70 for a 22 lb bag, now costs over $90. I decided it was time to try something else. This food is great for my dog. She now looks forward to her meal times, something that had not happened since she was a puppy. She is also at a normal weight and does not vomit anymore.

Finally found "the one"

I have 3 dogs. It has been very challenging trying to find a nutritious dog food they all enjoy. One of my three is very picky about her food. This is the only dog food they all love! I've also noticed they have more energy which shows me how good they good they feel.
