Don't know if I can take the smell
This is the first bag we've gotten for for our 5 month old Golden retriever. He seems to itch quite a bit and I've read alot of GRs are allergic to chicken so I wanted to try this. When I open it to feed him and it hits my nose, the smell makes me gag. And now his breath has the smell too but not as strong. Don't know if I'll continue with it or not. I'll have to see if it helps his itching
Good for Pyrenees pups
I had my 5-mo pup on the chicken formula alternating with the lamb but he itched constantly and kept licking his paws. I switched to this formula within the transitioning week the licking and scratching improved! I’m just happy he’s more comfortable!
Helped with itching and yeasty ears
I switched from PPP focus large breed chicken and rice after my 3 month old puppy seemed to itch on her belly and ears. She also had very dirty ears. Thinking she might be sensitive to chicken, I decided to try the salmon formula. Within 2 weeks itching stopped, pink belly and armpits diminished and ears cleared up. She is growing well, shiny healthy coat and loves it. Stools look great. So happy I made the change. Love this food.
Last week was the first time I used Chewy. I had been striking out trying to locate this specific dog food every month for my pup. I finally found it on Chewy for auto delivery. I ordered it and two days the first auto ship delivery arrived! So easy and convenient. I now don’t have to go to the pet store every month searching for his food or have to carry it to my car. Thank you!
Good food, no hidden chicken
The price makes my wallet flinch but it's worth it. Anything else gives my boy loose stools, diarrhea, and gas. No hidden chicken Ingredients which is great. Chicken makes him very itchy and dry skin. Would recommend for any dobes with coat/itch issues
So far so good
My pup has only been eating this for 1 week, so far so good. We switched from the regular to large breed. I'm not sure what the difference is but the other bag was out of stock.
So far so good
Bought this for a silver lab pup since they are known for skin issues & who was already on Purina Pro Plan ( but just regular puppy). She eats it & loves it!
LOVE LOVE LOVE
When we brought home our GSD at 8 weeks, he had no issues at all, however, as the weeks followed he soon developed a very sensitive stomach (as is common with the breed). It felt like we were parents to a new born. Every 2 hours throughout the night, my husband and I would take “shifts” taking him outside to have terrible diarrhea. Mind you, we live on the top story of our apartment. This went on for months and we tried 5 different dog food bags and brands, including the Purina Pro Plan chicken blend and the lamb blend as well. We even were prescribed probiotics by the vet, but, no luck. Apparently, most dogs develop allergies to chicken and it is also the most common ingredient in dog food across the board. Our last resort was the Salmon blend and it was a GOD SENT! seriously. We were finally able to sleep throughout the entire night and our GSD no longer has an upset stomach and can form solid number 2’s! It’s a miracle! We have been feeding this to him for almost a year now and have just purchased our first bag of the adult version to begin transitioning to. We are very happy with this brand/blend and plan on feeding it to him and any future dogs we have. So glad it works!
Sensitive tummy food
ProPlan digestive care is working beautifully for our Bernese Puppy. Thank you! It has made all the difference.
I have used one similar to this and my pup loved it but this one I was surprised how dry and low quality it appeared and after a few weeks my dog won't eat more than she has to. stopped finishing any meals even if I add goodies into it.
