A good place to start is with these guidelines for an average, active, Adult dog fed once daily.

Provide adequate fresh water in a clean container daily.

Transition Instructions

You should consider transitioning gradually to new pet foods to help eliminate any digestive issues. We recommend consumers introduce a new pet food over a period of 7 - 10 days to help avoid digestive upset. The first day we recommend mixing 10 percent of the new food with 90 percent of the current food. Each day, increase the amount of the new food while decreasing the amount of the current food.

My Frenchmen isn’t having any issues.

When we got our Frenchie from the Breeder he was on Zignature Kangaroo. I heard about all the concern of certain dog foods causing heart issues, so I switched him to a different brand that got 5 star rating on dog food advisory website, but it gave him horrible gas and loose stools. I tried switching him back to Zignature, but his system didn’t like it anymore, so I tried this food....and it is working for him. It gets 4 stars on dog food advisory, so I’m good with it as long as my dog isn’t having issues. I normally go for a 5 star rating food, but the ones I tried him on caused him issues. My vet said Purina Pro plan was good too. Yes, I know how to switch my dog slowly to a new food, it When we got our Frenchie from the Breeder he was on Zignature Kangaroo. He was also on a vet approved low fat diet to calm his intestines down before putting him on this food. … more

    Good food, crazy price increase.

    By on

I use this dog food for 4 of my dogs. Thought it was a good for for the price but as of 3-13-2020 chewy just upped the price 50% more! I bought it in feb. for just over $20. A bag. It is only 3-13, and they raised price to over $37. For same size bag! I am very upset and will look for a better price and food ASAP! Definitely price gauging!

    Chihuahua Gut

    By on

I can't tell you how many foods I've tried, my pup has a sensitive tummy. Either she won't eat something or it loosens her stool! She loves this Pro Plan and it doesn't upset her stomach, hooray! As part of her meal ration I use them throughout the day for her daily training, instead of treats. This makes training healthy!!!

Not a favorite for my picky pup.

    By on

I have been on the look out for a dog food my picky guy will love, and I tried this in another attempt to find it. Unfortunately, this wasn't the one. I am starting to wonder if there is even one out there that he will love, but I will keep trying.

    Another great Purina dog food

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

I don't know what it is about the Purina brand, but I have yet to find a flavor mine don't like. I bought this specifically for my Chihuahua and Min Pin because the kibble is smaller sized, (not that they couldn't eat larger kibble) I just thought they would enjoy it more due to the kibble size. My big dogs like it too, if they can manage to get any pieces they find at feeding time.

    All My Dogs Love This!

    By on

I have always used ProPlan but one of my dogs was diagnosed with grain problems so my vet suggested grain free, I didn't think the dogs would like it because they were use to the other one, but to my surprise even my 10 year old dog loved it. I had to order another bag they were eating it so well. Thank you!~

    Yummy for the tummy

    By on

That’s what Chloe must think. She is a pug with a very substantial appetite. She is the one who counts, and we endeavor to give her quality food, that keeps her fit and healthy. Until something better comes along, this is her food of choice.

    Great Food

    By on

Our 2 small boys love this food. We tried the Non-Grain Free Pro Plan originally, but switched to the Grain Free. They love both. You really can't go wrong with it. Morsels are a great size for smaller dogs.
