PROPLAN is the best for all breeds.

We began using Purina PROPLAN several years ago based on the recommendation of our veterinarian who is a specialist in dealing with specific breeds including Shar-Pei. We reviewed the ingredients and fat content, and it is well suited for both our Shar-Pei and our American Bull rescue. Great price but mediocre ingredients

I fed my dog Purina Pro Plan because it's what the rescue organization I got her from fed her; it's also what they said the vet recommended. There's no big problem with the food per se but after doing more research into different choices, I'm switching to a different brand. Looking at the ingredients in this mix, I'm left questioning what "chicken by-product meal" and "soybean meal" is. I feel more comfortable feeding my dog more whole foods than these questionable by-products and grain meals. I started buying some freeze dried beef liver to top off my pup's Purina Pro Plan and each time I notice her picking out the beef liver pieces, eating those first, and leaving some Purina kibbles behind. Not only am I aware of the deficiencies in the ingredients used in this formula, but my dog can taste the difference too. … more

Bought this to move my dog off of puppy food. She was eating the same brand puppy food but with a soft food too. She loved it. Preferred over the puppy one. Very happy baby girl not so much a baby now

I was buying prescription food at $100 a bag for my large and small Dog. (They will eat each others food) I have 3 total and was so tired of buying 2 different foods, I decided to give this a try. First they all love it, and they eat only what they’re supposed to bc they eat it all. But it’s helped just as much as the expensive diet food. <3

I like that this has actual chicken chunks in it! We add warm water and let it soak for a few minutes before feeding to our dogs and they love it!

We switched from Purina One to this Purina pro plan because every store was always out of the food we feed. The pups love this! We have a 130 pound dog and a 20 pound dog and it’s been great for both.
