I might have been able to get the cats to finish off this case by mixing it with another food they like a lot, but one of them has had a sharp health decline and the other has always been less inclined towards wet food. Rarely have I seen them reject a food so strongly on the first can I fed them. It's unlikely I'll be able to feed them most of this case. As it is, I think I'll have to give this to my friend who feeds her local ferals.
We have 2 cats one is a picky eater and one who eats everything. We are probably go to the Proplan Plus prime. It has all the nutrients needed and both cats like it. It has a good consistency and no terrible you'd expect from a fish flavor!
Jade loves this food and Chewy! We have been using Chewy for quite awhile and can't say enough good about them. Always fast shipping, very well packaged, and excellent customer service. Chewy, you make our life easier and we love your company. Thank You!
My senior cat, who has some health issues, turned into a picky eater, and barely ate her regular food. She was down to one small can a day, which isn't nearly enough. After trying a number of brands and food forms. I saw this and decided to try it. Purina isn't normally my go-to brand, but my cat is older and needs calories. She's been eating this up every day, two cans, no problem. Normally she doesn't like pate, but the consistency of this one agrees with her. She is now consistently eating two cans a day.
My cat loves this wet food. Since switching from another product I’ve noticed her coat is healthy and shiny. Recommended this to my daughter for her cat.
Before this Prime Plus Adult 7+, I was feeding her regular Pro Plan until my vet recommended a change to senior food. When I popped the lid, she sniffed the air and went ballistic - pacing backing and forth and chattering. Once I put down her food, she gobbled it up right away - looking to me for more. She loves it which makes me very happy!
Not our 14 and 15 year olds' favorite, but they are eating it while we wait for "Temporarily Out of Stock" to disappear on their current favorite Salmon flavor. In general, we are recently experiencing good results with the Pro Plan line. More than a decade ago (different pair of seniors), we stopped feeding Pro Plan when their recipes changed. (I know I am not alone in experiencing a "What the??" after opening a new batch of wet food served for years and finding a different texture, appearance, smell; followed by complete snubbing.) Due to shortages, I decided to try out Pro Plan again. Very hopeful that some of the flavors I'm trying on them will continue to be eaten.
This has become my senior cat's favorite food. He constantly meows at me until I give it to him (mind you, he always has access to hard food). I've tried giving him his old canned food (from Sheba) after starting this food. He won't touch the Sheba brand now. This is definitely his go to!
My cat loves the food, and the can is just the right size for a single meal. Her vet looked at what she was eating and said it was an excellent food for my beloved Lois. BTW, shortly after my Jessica died, I learned about the Seniors for Seniors program at the NYC Animal Control. Since I'm 80, I didn't want to adopt a cat that I would predecease and leave bereft. That's where I met Lois, age 9 (vet's guess). We are very happy together.
My 13 year old kitty loves this food! She gobbles it right up!
